IMPORTANT!The edges of the “Q” grille,mesh and mesh surrounds

can be extremely sharp.Please handle with care.

1. Open the hood and remove the six (6) plastic pushpins (three each side) that secure the side plasticcovers to the header panel then flip the panelsback out of the way.

2. Use a torx T-20 tool to remove the four (4) screwssecuring the top edge of the bumper cover/grilleassembly to the core support (2 each side asshown).

INSTALLATION TIP:

E&G highly recommends using a thumb ratch-

et and a short 11/32” socket when installingthese grilles due to limited hardware installa-tion access.

4. Align the mesh sections over the surrounds and(for both mesh and “Q” grilles) trim the ends fromthe supplied black cap plugs and install them ontothe mounting studs across the bottoms and sidesof the surrounds or “Q” grilles.

6. Pull the top of the bumper cover out towards youand use a couple of small sections of 2x4 and

insert them inbetween the bumper cover and thecore support panel. This will give you access toinstall the upper and lower grille section mountinghardware.

5. Align the lower grille (mesh section and frame or“Q”) into place and use masking tape to hold thegrille into place during the next step. Make sureouter corners of the g rille are taped back tightlyagainst the factory grille w hile you perform Step 6.Note: If the grille will not stay in place once taped,slightly arch the grille to better match the curvatureof the factory grille.

3. Apply several layers of masking tape around theupper and lower grille openings to protect thepainted and chrome sections of the factory grille.

7. Install a large black plastic washer and a #8-32ESNA half nut onto the outer upper studs first and

leave loose so that the mounting washer rotates.Once the outer hardware is installed, install thecenter upper washers and ESNA half nuts. DONOT TIGHTEN at this time !

8. Install the supplied black rectangular retainersacross the bottom of the lower grille. It may benecessary to remove part of the factory black styrofoam from underneath the mounting studs inorder to install the retainers and ESNA nuts. If you

do remove portions of the black styrofoam, paintthe exposed bumper black so it is not visiblethrough the grille. Center the grille and tighten allmounting hardware.

11 . Use a tape measure and measure out from thecenter of the bumper cover 1-1/2” and place amark as shown. Measure over an additional 7-3/4”and place a mark as shown.

12 . Repeat the measurements on the opposite side of the vehicle. You will not need to mark the centerhole on the passenger side as there is no stud.

14. Apply 3 or 4 layers of protective masking tape tothe headlamps lenses (as shown). Insert 2x4 sec-

tions between the headlights and the bumpercover (as shown) to hold the bumper cover out forupper grille mounting hardware installation.

13 . Use a 5/16” drill bit to notch out of the factory grille (insert the drill into the factory grille at themarks made in the previous steps and push downor pull up to make stud relief notches) .

9. For upper grille installation, use a tape measureand measure out from the center of the bumpercover 2-5/8” and place a mark as shown. Measureover an additional 7-3/4” and place a mark asshown.

10 . Repeat the measurements on the opposite side of the vehicle.

15. Align the upper “Q”grille or mesh section and sur-round into place, making sure the studs line up

with the reliefs drilled into the factory grille.

16. For the outer studs, install a black rectangularretainer onto the studs and secure it with a #8-32

ESNA half nut. Begin tightening the nut but leaveit slightly loose for left to right adjustment.
