1. Open the hood and carefully apply several layers of maskingtape to the painted upper and lower grille openings (around theupper factory grille). This will protect the painted surface whileremoving the factory upper grille.

2. Remove the two (2) fasteners retaining the top of the grilleto the support by unthreading the plastic bolt until it liftsout. Lift straight up to remove the fastener bases (saveparts for reinstallation).3. Remove the two (2) 10mm hex bolts from the bumpercover (one each side). Save for reinstallation.

4. To remove the stock upper grille, you must first removethe seven (7) phillips screws across the top of the grille.

5. Pull the grille and bumper cover forward while holdingthe top section back to seperate the top section from thegrille.

10.Use a .125 (1/8) drill bit to drill through the marksmade in the previous step, then using the drill bit, con-nect the holes to form a small slot for left to right grilleadjustment.

8. Cut out and align the supplied hole location template ontothe bumper cover, making sure that the notches in the tem-plate line up with the raised areas in the bumper cover.

9. Use an awl or similar pointed tool to mark all hole locationsonto the bumper cover, then remove the template.

7. Remove the factory emblem from the grille by removingthe phillips screws securing the emblem into the factoryemblem recess.

11. Apply flat or semigloss black paint to everything that willbe visible through the E&G grille once it is installed. Onvehicles painted colors other than dark blue or black, use a

scotch brite pad to scuff the paint around the grille open-ing and paint the return edge of the grille opening inside

the mounting pin holes as well.

12.Align the factory emblem removed in Step 7 onto theemblem mounting plate and through the partial holeslasered in the mesh section. The factory emblem screwbosses will push through the partial holes in the meshfor a tight fit.

13.Install the supplied lock washers over the factoryemblem screw bosses. Reinstall the factory screws withthe supplied black plastic washers to secure the emblemmounting plate and emblem to the E&G mesh grille.

6. Remove the factory upper grille from the bumper coverby removing the phillips screws located at the sides andbottom of the grille. A short phillips screwdriver or ratch-eting screw driver works best.
