1. Open the hood and remove the push pins thatsecure the radiator support panel cover to thevehicel and remove the cover. Push the center ofthe push pins in to release them. Make sure to

release the upper radiator hose from the backedge of the cover. Save the cover and the pushpins for reinstallation.

2. Remove the factory push fasteners from the top ofthe grille. Use a small flat blade screwdriver to pryup on the center of the push fastener to release.3. Use a 3/16 drill bit to drill off the head of theplastic rivet located on each end of the grille andremove the rivets (do not drill completelythrough).

4. Finish removing the factory grille by pulling inand pushing forward on the side mountingtabs and pulling up and pushing forward onthe lower mounting tabs. The grille will now

pull straight out.

6. Pull the top of the bumper cover up to expose thefactory alignment holes. Enlarge the factory align-ment holes to 5/8 diameter to allow for aditionalbumper cover adjustments.

7. Remove the factory wreath and crest emblems fromthe factory grille. Use heat to loosen the glue on thedouble faced tape and pry them emblems off usinga body putty spreader.8. Install the emblems onto the supplied emblemmounting plate (except adaptive cruise and ClassicTwelve grilles) using double faced tape as shown(not supplied with this kit). You will double face tapethe emblems directly onto the Classic Twelve grille.

9. Align the emblem plate onto the mesh grille, pass-ing the stud through the slot cut in the recessedarea. Install the emblem plate washer, flat washers,lock washers and 8-32 hex nuts, center the

emblem assembly and completely tighten.

Steps 10 through 20 cover emblem installation on vehicleswith Adaptive Cruise Control. For vehicles whitout theAdaptive Cruise Control option, procede to Step 21.10 . Use a small flat blade screw driver to push the factoryemblem and chrome trim ring mounting tabs throughthe slots in the factory grille to remove the emblemand trim ring.

11. Orient the emblem bezel with the openings at 1,4, 6 & 8 oclock before bending the tabs as not tobend them backwards (see next photo). Using asmall flat blade screw driver, bend down the

emblem mounting tabs in the emblem bezel plateto allow for installation of the factory emblem.

5. Remove the factory push fastener from the top ofthe bumper cover (1 each side). Use a small flatblade screwdriver to pry up on the center of thepush fastener to release.

13. Peel off the double faced tape backing applied tothe emblem bezel plate. Align the emblem bezelring over the bezel plate, making sure the mount-ing studs pass through the holes in the plate.Once the ring is flush around the outside edge ofthe plate, press the parts together.

14. Align the factory emblem into the bezel assembly,making sure it is centered and that all mountingtabs fit through the openings in the bezel plate.Use a small flat blade screw driver to push the tabsthat were bent in Step 11 back to help secure thefactory emblem into the bezel plate.

17. Remove the mounting ears from the chrome trim-ring (break off and grind smooth).

16. Realign the chrome trim ring on the factory grille.Mark the top center of the chrome trim ring forrealignment purposes after the chrome trim ringhas been modified.

12. Apply the die cut double faced tape (whereshown) to the face of the emblem bezel plate.

21. For vehicles painted any other color than black ordark blue: Tape up the factory grille opening andpaint the return and factory grille mounting channel flat or semi-gloss black.

22. For all vehicles: Paint anything not already blackthat will be visible through the mesh grille.

23. Remove the plastic push fasteners from thebumper cover where it attaches to the bumpersubstructure. This will make it much easier toinstall the new grille.

24. Align the new grille into the factory grille opening, making sure that all six (6) lower studs fitthrough the existing slots in the bumper cover.

20. Install the emblem assembly onto the back of themesh or dual weave mesh grille section using thesupplied black plastic washers (trimmed as shownto keep visibility to a minimum) and 8-32 ESNAhalf nuts.

19. Peel back a small section of the 1/4 doublefaced tape backing and align the chrome trim-ring over the emblem assembly. Once aligned,carefully peel off the double faced tape linerfrom the tape and press the chrome trim ringinto place to set the tape.

18. Apply the 1/4 double faced tape to the back ofthe chrome trim ring.
