7. Remove the factory lower grille mounted sensor by pullingit straight back to release.

5. Apply several layers of masking tape to the edges of thefront fenders where the bumper cover meets, then firmlugrasp the bumper cover at the wheel arch opening andpull it towards you to release the fender clips.

6. Once the bumper cover becomes loose, reach down andrelease the fog lamps on models equipped by eitherunplugging the harness or rotating the bulb out of thesocket.

8. Carefully place the removed bumper cover to a clean workarea. Unclip the factory chrome surround and the innerfactory grille insert from the bumper cover (not shown).Remove the front license palte bracket (if equipped) andcut the lower section of as shown in the above photo.

4. Pull down on the centers of the four (4) lower factory pushfasteners securing the bottom of the bumper cover and pullthe fasteners down to remove them.

3. Use a 10mm socket to remove the hex screw from thebottom of the driver side bumper cover.

11. Apply masking tape to protect the emblems chrome fin-ish.

12. Use a jig saw or vibrating cutter to remove the facotrycenter section of the grille, keeping the cutting edge upagainst the edges of the factory chrome verticle bars.

13. Keep the cutting tool tight against the edges of the fac-tory chrome verticle bars, you will use the remainingplastic as the surface to attach the chrome plated meshsection.

14. This is what the removed section of the factory grilleinsert should look like. Cut flush with the edges of thefactory chrome verticle bars.

9. Use flat or semi-gloss black paint to black out everythingthat would be visible through the mesh grille (as shown). 10. Unclip the factory chrome grille surround and grilleinsert from the bumper cover and lay the factory grillesection face down onto a clean work surface for the fol-lowing procedure.

17. Break off the inner mounting tabs. Make sure you donot break off the alignment pins.

18 . Install the supplied .045 x .250 double faced tape to theouter edge of the factory emblem.

19. Reinstall the factory grille frame back onto the insideedge of the bumper cover by snapping it over themounting tabs.

20. If not already done so, use a disc grinder to smooth theinside edges of the factory grille insert cut in Steps &.

15. Use a flat blade screwdriver to seperate the chrome por-tion of the factory emblem from the base.

16. Break off the outer mounting tabs from the back of thefactory grille emblem.

23. Use a disc grinder to remove the upper outer alignmenttabs from the top of the factory upper grille chrome sur-round.

24 . Align the upper mesh section into the factory grille opeingin the bumper cover.

25. Use a 7/64 drill bit to drill a hole through one of the meshopenings at the bottom center of the mesh section andinstall one of the supplied #8 x 1/2 black truss headscrews.

26. Use a 7/64 drill bit to drill a hole through one of the meshopenings at the bottom sides of the mesh section andinstall the supplied #8 x 1/2 black truss head screws.

IMPORTANT! The exposed edges ofthe stainless steel grille and mesh canbe extremely sharp. Please handle

with care.


21 . Carefully break off the hollow mounting tabs from the facto-ry upper grille chrome surround. 22. Carefully grind off the solid mounting tabs from the factoryupper grille chrome surround.

29. Install the supplied .130 x 5 black nylon cable ties (asshown) to secure the top edge of the mesh section tothe factory grille section. Trim off the excess cable tie (notshown).

30 . Realign the factory upper grille chrome surround onto thebumper cover and use masking tape to hold it into placeduring the following installation procedure.

31. This photo gives you the locations for installing the supplied#8 x 1/2 black truss head screws that will secure the facto-ry upper chrome surround onto the bumper cover.

32. Push up agains the factory chrome surround and thendrill a 7/64 hole through the inner layer of the factorygrille portion reinstalled in Step and the factorychrome mounting tab of the upper surround. DO NOTDRILL past the surrounds mounting tab or you will damage the bumper cover.

27 . Use a 7/64 drill bit to drill a hole through one of the meshopenings at the upper outer corners of the mesh sectionand install the supplied #8 x 1/2 black truss head screws.

Use a .156 (5/32) drill bit to carefully drill through theupper factory grille section at the center and mid waybetween the center of the grille opeing and the upper outerblack truss head screws for black nylon cable tie installation.Drill directly above a mesh intersection, through the innerlayer of the factory grille surround only. DO NOT DRILL pastthis first layer of plastic or you will damage the bumpercover and the factory chrome surround!

37. Align the lower grille into place, making sure the studspass through the openings in the lower factory grille (itmay be necessary to slightly bend the studs if the grilledoes not fit centered in the factory opening). On thedriver side, install one large and one small black plasticwasher along with two (2) #8-32 ESNA half nuts andtighten until the washers no longer rotate. DO NOTOVERTIGHTEN!

38 . On the passenger side, install two (2) large black plasticwashers along with two (2) #8-32 ESNA half nuts andtighten until the washers no longer rotate. DO NOTOVERTIGHTEN!

39. Install the emblem assembly onto the upper mesh section,making sure it is perfectly centered. Secure the assemblyusing the supplied large black plastic washers, #10 s.s. lockwashers and #8-32 s.s. hex nuts. Tighten until the emblemassembly does not move.

40. Reinstall the black foam bumper filler back onto thebumper cover.

IMPORTANT:Reverse the removal procedure to reinstall the bumper cover

back onto the vehicle.

33 . Install the supplied #8 x 3/8 black trusshead screws acrossthe top and the #8 x 1/2 black trusshead screws across thebottom (see Step 31 for screw locations). All screws will bedrilled and installed from the bottom up (as shown).

34. Install the supplied double faced tape to the top and bot-tom sides of the lower mesh grille surround.35 . Align the lower mesh section onto the back of the surroundand press firmly to set the tape.36 . Trim the ends from the supplied #8 x 1-1/4 black cap plugsand install them onto the lower two studs where shown.
