Posting News & Events

You can use the web to post news and events.

1. Click the green plus sign icon in the top right-hand corner. 2. Determine whether you want to post a news item or an event.

3. Add a title and expiration date to your post. You may also choose to schedule your post to publish at a future date and time. If you do not choose that option, your post will publish immediately. 4. You are strongly encouraged to add an article image. This may be something you download from the internet, or upload from your phone. * Optional: You may also choose to attach an audio recording. Enter the phone number you’d like the system to call, then record your message over the phone. Add attachments (PDF’s or images), if you’d like. These cannot be translated as SchoolCNXT does not have access to the content.

7. Add content to your post. You can add tables, embed videos, and format the font. 8. Under Recipients, select Add Group, and click the group(s) to whom you would like to publish this post. You will see them move to the column on the right. You can also use the search bar at the top of the pop-up to look for a specific group. 9. At the bottom of the window, select the roles to which you would like to publish your post. Select Students’ Guardians to publish to the guardians of the students in a given group. 9. You may also choose to add a related reminder to publish at a future date by clicking the green plus sign at the bottom of the page.

* For Events Only: Add a date, time, and location.

9. Preview and publish your post! If you are publishing to a group for which your post needs approval, it will be sent to that members of that group that have the permission to approve a post. They will then be able to return it to you for editing or publish it!

* For Events Only (Optional): • Click Track Attendance if you want to track attendance once the event begins. If so,

click Geo-Location and/or Code. If you choose code, create a code. • Determine if you want to assign points for attending the event. • Select if you want the check-in period to be during the event only, or also for the next

24 hours.

10. After posting news, whether it is on the mobile or web app, you can visit the post on the web to access your views.

• Click on any post you published. • Click the eye icon at the bottom. • You can see who has read and liked your posts, filtering by individual guardian or

family unit.

You can use the mobile app to post news and events. 1. Tap Add News at the top of your feed.

3. Add a cover image, title and content. 4. If you’d like, you can choose to add additional images or an audio recording. 5. Tap Next.

3. Choose your recipients by tapping the names of the groups to whom you’d like to publish your news. You will see the names of the selected groups appear at the top of the screen. To post to specific roles, tap on the tag icon and then tap Done. 4. Tap Next.

* For Events Only: Add the following event details – • Date and time • Location • Check-In (optional) • Assign points (optional)

5. Choose to publish your news now or at a future date. 6. Set an expiration date for your post. 7. If you’d like, you can add related reminders to publish at a future date. 8. Tap Publish to publish your news item!
