What is Reflexology?

Reflexology as defined by RAC is: a natural healing art based on the principles that there are zones and reflexes in the feet, hands and ears that correspond with every part, gland and organ of the body. Through application of pressure on these reflexes, reflexology can relieve: tension, improve circulation, and helps promote the natural function of the related areas of the body.

Reflexology is safe, non-invasive and is practised on all ages.

History of Reflexology:

Reflexology has been practised for thousands of years, the oldest in Egyptian pictographs, later it was brought by travelling Buddhist monks to India, China and Japan. Today it is widely known all over the world as an alternative therapy.

About the Reflexologist:

I have been engaged in foot reflexology as a Registered Canadian Reflexology Therapist (RCRT), since 2009, following with certification in hand reflexology and other healing techniques.

I have always believed in a holistic approach which complements my medical health background.

I hold current membership with the Reflexology Association of Canada (RAC) and presently hold the title of a RAC Foot Examiner.

After you stroll around Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden, continue your relaxation session, in a serene, tranquil, setting with bamboo flute music playing softly in the background for a professional reflexology session.

You will relax in a reclining chair with only your shoes and socks removed (foot reflexology session only) while I apply gentle pressure on the reflex points found in your feet or hands.

This will aid to stimulate and activate the body’s own healing process. This process can aid in relieving stress and tension, improving your circulation and help your body to rebalance itself naturally.
