Dear friends, The staff and I hope your holidays were full of blessings. And we hope you remember that, for Catholics, the holidays are not over yet. We keep celebrating the great gift of the Incarnation all though this coming week. On Christmas we celebrated that the Messiah was given to the Jews (represented by the shepherds). Last Sunday, we celebrated that the Messiah was given for the gentiles (represented by the Magi). And this Sunday we recognize that the Messiah is given to the Church (represented by the baptism of Jesus and the Father’s proclamation). If at all possible, resist the temptation to take down your tree and put away your decorations. When huge blessings come, it is our Catholic tradition to relish and cherish them --- not set them aside so we can run on to the next thing. Also, we begin a new (experimental) tradition at St. Margaret Mary’s --- a bilingual Mass every Tuesday at 6 PM. You are warmly invited, and … we’ll see how it goes. Peace, All Good! Fr. Mike

Queridos Amigos,

Paz, Todo Bueno! Padre Mike

We conducted an experiment of extending our

office hours on Mondays, but found it did not

make a difference so starting in January, we will

return to our normal office hours Monday through

Thursday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and on Friday,

8:00 am to 12:00 pm. If you have an appointment

with one of the priests after office hours, be sure

to ring the doorbell when you arrive for your

appointment. Thank you!

St. Margaret Mary Women’s Fellowship invites you to join us this New Year in a 10-week study called

Proverbs – Learning to Live Wisely.

The Book of Proverbs teaches us how to be successful and

prosperous in our work, our dealings with family and friends, and our relationship with God. The direction and

guidance they give us is practical, concrete, reasonable and fruitful. We welcome women 18 years and older to make plans once a week to come, study and seek guidance from

the Scriptures and other Catholic Christian women and strengthen your

personal relationship with Christ.

Register now so together we may grow in wisdom! Our study begins Thursday, January 15th at 6:30 p.m. in our parish hall. There will be registration after all Masses the

weekend of January 3rd and 4th. You need not be Catholic or a member of SMM Parish to join. The registration fee is $15.00 due the first night. This includes your book and

other materials you will receive during the study. Feel free to invite friends, neighbors, or family to participate with

you! This is a great opportunity to meet new ladies and en-joy the fellowship of other Christian women.

If you have any questions or need more information please

feel free to contact Martha Ward @ (909) 598-8220

Rachel’s Vineyard Post Abortion Healing

Weekend Retreat

March 20th – March 22nd 2015

www.rachelsvineyard.org Email:[email protected]

(951) 325-7702

Rachel’s Vineyard weekend retreats are a beautiful opportunity for any woman or man who has struggled with the emotional or spiritual pain of an abortion. During the weekend, we gather as the suffering Body of Christ and minister to each other in His name. We share spiritual exercises, which help work through repressed grief and anger and many rituals to help you grieve the loss of your unborn child and accept God’s forgiveness. This retreat is presented in the Catholic tradition.

“I was terrified to take the first step forward and par-ticipate in Rachel’s Vineyard. It seemed safer to re-main hiding in the darkness, keeping the pain locked up deep inside rather than to risk exposing my shame to another soul. Now I am grateful to have experienced God’s healing and forgiveness with other women in an atmosphere of complete acceptance and trust. Ra-chel’s Vineyard has been a blessing to me.” The retreat and registration -are strictly private. All inquiries will be answered confidentially.

For registration, cost, location and more informa-tion: Please call Dolores at (951) 325-7702 or email [email protected]. (Early registration sug-gested. Enrollment is limited.) These are private lines. You may leave a confidential message and know that return phone calls are made with discre-tion.
