A short film to be released on abhaya Home Project

When abhaya statred working on Home of Happiness project, a few well-wishers asked board members to give a brief short-film about aHoH, so that they can promote the cause in their own circles instead of calling them time and again to various places and forums. The idea is to spread the news about magnanimous project in most effective way. When the team started enquiring about making of such short film and 3D Presentation of the campus would cost about Rs. 3 lakhs.

It made the abhaya team to be inactive till talking to a well wisher Sri Saradhy, TK's Group, Hyderabad. He understanding the good work happening with Abhayan, connected Mr.Rajendra & Eeswar, who are freelancers and provide such services at an affordable cost. After understanding the project and the good work being done by abhaya… they readily came forward to lend their hands of help for most reasonable price in shortest possible time. Rajendra came up with an idea to present home of Happiness. His concept is really inspiring and thought provoking. He started working with the H.E.A.R.T rather with the brain for the past 40 days.

Abhayan Sainath connected with Madhav, an Assistant Film Director who is just coming in the life and sought his support for the Project. Madhu along with his another friend Chendu started simultaneously working on shooting the film in multi locations.

Sri EJP Prasad (Coordinator, abhaya RPL) Ms. Sushma (Infosys, who gave thought abhaya Home), Ramesh ( H e a l t h C a r e beneficiary), Sainath (Volunteer) Veerababu (Driver) and others did their best in shooting the film.

The plan is to release the Short Film on a b h a y a H o m e o f Happiness and further disseminated through Social net work, FB, Youtube, CD, Emails making the people to be aware of the good work and requesting them to do the needful.

My Cousin Sister Ms P.Tulasi is suffering from 2 Kidney Failure from past two months and presently she is under medical treatment at Global Hospitals. 3 Times dialysis is being done at present. She is the only daughter to their parents. 20 Years back her father expired. With that shock her mother met with paralyses and she is bedridden from last 10 years but her mother is a retired employee she receives the pension of Rs.7000 per month and this is the only income. The girl is the care taker for her mother. She is working in the private sector till recently. Now with this ailment she may have to discontinue her job. Presently her mother is in old age home & the girl is taking medical treatment. The doctors said for discharge within 3 days. So, We need your help in order to adopt both Mother & daughter. Pardu's health. He is able to walk for a

small distance with the help of walker. I

V.S.Vijay Kumar from Thiruttani (Tamilandu) visited abhaya with his teacher Rammurthy

for financial help for his Engineering course. He got an admission in Merit Quota at GRT

Institute of Technology. He is from economically poor family and his parents cannot

afford to his Engineering Fee. He is bright in his academics and aspiring to be an

Engineer. After talking to him, abhaya FOUNDATION decided to support this boy. The fee

payable was Rs.48,000/- and his teachers expressed

his willingness to pool Rs.10,000/- from his side.

spite of his busy schedule he lovingly spared his time for this seminar.

As Founder, abhaya FOUNDATION entered College Seminar Hall, he directly went to the

students and started interacting with them. Thereby created a friendly environment all

across auditorium. We, the GET abhaya team, invited him to the stage and introduced

him to the students. Within 15 minutes time, he was able to pull the attention of the

students. We were surprised to see the seminar hall completely filled by 500+ students

for the first time in the recent past and all the students were very attentive and

responsive for all activities conducted by him. The presentation titled " Right & Straight"

very effectively presented with help of Audio & Video support. It was all about the careers

and awareness. Entire students community along with the teaching staff was spell bound

by the presentation by the Founder. More surprisingly none of the students left the hall till

the end of seminar. This was followed by speech by principal Dr. Ramaswamy. He was Thank you so much Sir, for

press, help document events and activities, and also work out presentations for

Village of V.Kota Mandal. He is graduate in Arts serving the Govt as

Police Constable since 1992. He learnt the art of Mimicry from his

school days by imitating the voice of 60 persons of political leaders

and cine actors and animals. He started motivating the young Minds

at schools and colleges through this rare art of mimicry. His mimicry

shows enlightened the public as well as students on the issues of

traffic, Child marriages and Social Economic issues. He is supporting

poor student in School & Colleges by Providing free study Materials

and books with help of donors.

Even though he is a Policeman, He as an common man attends Mimicry shows wherever

he is invited for the cause of prevention of Social evils in the Society. For the last 5 years

he continuously trying to help to poor students in schools and colleges by supplying free

of books in his District and trained them as dynamic personalities. He followe d the Policy

as "LEARN TO WORK UNITEDLY FOR OTHER" this is a great need at present in our society.

The Man behind abhaya Team addressing 6,500 students at Career Awareness Programs

Abhaya Team addressed 2000 College students at Kuppam.

Abhaya Team addressed 1500 high-school students at Kuppam.

It was a day filled with activities that enriched our lives with new experiences. 1st Session

at V.Kota, had large presence indeed and it was even well organised. Only thing that went

wrong was most of the time was consumed by local speakers. Because everybody joined

together in organizing the same we had to live with them getting most of the time. 2nd

Session at Kuppam, did go well but for the fact that the open ground acted negatively in

diverting the attention of students. The Best session was the last session wherein

students were really attentive and focused.

I have one suggestion. If we can find few more motivating factors for the students apart

from money may be we can reach larger no. of students, since different things motivate

different people. For example, social esteem, name and fame can be other factors that

drives kids to aim high and strive to achieve them.

I was just considering if we can get some more details of the Kid named Gandhi to whom

Most of the Saturdays, I spend my time in doing little worthy works at my personal level

to benefit the society. But this Saturday you people made me to spend time in more

meaningful, lively, lovely and worthwhile way! It is all because of abhaya I am able to

make many like minded friends to share my thoughts with the people around thereby

transforming myself day by day.

If I wanted share with you the spirit behind organizing the Career Awareness Program at

Chittore District, I should go back to one such Program held during 2009 at my village,

Jammalamadugu where in my brother-in-law Vankataramana C (Venkatesh's Brother)

was a witness for the motivation everyone got and decided to have such program in his

college ( Santhinpuram betwee n Kuppam & V. Kota) where he works as Botany lecturer.

He then introduced me / abhaya to Mr. D.G.Ramamurthy (Police- Special Branch).

Since last 2 months or so, I am in touch with Mr. Ramamurthy, seeking his support to

organize such program in Chittore District, it was delayed because his daughter is not

keeping well… She is still undergoing treatment, but he finally took initiative and

coordinated this mega event by using all his good contacts. I express my heartfelt

gratitude to Mr. Ramamurthy for his kind heartedness and empathy on the community.

Long live Mr. Ramamurthy. May God bless him and his family.

From my side it is very tiny not even a drop in ocean, I supported in connecting Mr.

Ramamurthy to Abhaya, in getting career path printing, bringing shawls, inviting friends,

facilitating transportation… That is all. I thank one and all for their co-operation and

unstinted help in making my task easy in connecting good people.

The total expenditure for the mega event where abhaya team (8

people) interacted with more than 6000 students is about

Rs.12,000/- that means we spent Re.2/- Per Student. It is just

Rs.1,250/- per head for abhaya volunteers… I wish abhaya carry on

more such activities in igniting the life of many young Indians in days

come.

India. Thanks Abhaya for offering me an opportunity to be part of this. I am eager to be The day started with the team visiting Govt. Girl's School at V.Kota and made a brief but

part of these kinds of events at a higher level. - Bhogesh, Prestige Group, Bengaluru. touching speech to the attentive students. On learning that the school is facing

indescribable agony of not having water facility even for wash roo m( it's a Girl's

School!!!), Abhaya instantly undertook a mission to provide bore well facility to the

school. I must mention the agility of abhaya Team in taking decisions and a passion to

bring smiles on the faces of deprived people. I wished the Foundation will follow up the

promise made and bring into reality as per the schedule announced at the school. Later

surprisingly a local NGO, knowing about this in the CVRM College, declared that they

would dig the bore well for the school. Abhaya team felt immensely happy to know this

and assured the local team to be in touch with abhaya in case of need.

Rest of the day was the best of the times I've ever spent on a week end. The ability of

abhaya Founder in engaging the students is worth mentioning. I suggest to consider

Story Mode of speech when talking to large gathering of students about values and

virtues to be inculcated. Mere abstract ideas may not reach to all. Fun filled speech may

be used initially for capturing attention, later serious ideas may be passed with examples

from Puranas, or short stories. Lest, students tend to hear more funny dialogues and may

forget soon the purpose of the speech.

For better time management, we need to prepare a cue sheet with exact time lines and

give to dignitaries a day before so that they will be aware of the time allocated to them.

My special wishes to Mr. Rama Murthy & team for an excellent coordination and success of

the event.

Incidentally, do we have a mechanism of tracking the impact of our

sessions at the respective locations?

On a whole the entire team of abhaya Foundation proved it again

"Helping hands are better than Praying lips". I seriously look

forward to contribute more to the society through Abhaya

the value we could have gained. It is a great

My burning desire has finally been met in the last week as earlier i could not attend due to

many constraints (Mainly distance). Due to God's grace my thought of participating in

abhaya Awareness and Rural development initiatives been realized now.

My objective was to attend this kind of programs and indeed to continue this legacy

founded by you in the local regions especially in various rural/urabn areas of south Indian

States in India. I enjoyed throughout this journey and connecting like minded & great

personalities like Ramamurthy , Yoga Gopi is most memor able and inspirable.

What can i speak about the Founder, great learning experience whenever I associate and

spend time with him. No words but can speak with him only by ACTION!!!

The first & final ( both Girls schools ) student sessions touched my heart. I heard this kind

many a times but this was live experience for me to understand the issues of kids at the

rural schools.

My inputs & thoughts on Educare :- May be due to lack of time , the objective might have

met partially. We have to make sure the below things. The Agenda should be published

well before along with Time lines so as to avoid outside factors to disturb the objective of

the session.

Making sure what is take away points and conclusions for the students by the end of the

session. More interaction should be there at the end of the program

with abhaya Team member & in smaller groups of students. We can

aim to bring one experienced professional who came up in life from

each stream for ex : IT , Finance , Engineering , Law, Medical etc .,

The major problem of Communication skills , Language skills need to

be addressed still more effective manner by giving some guideline

notes & tips like career sheet and with pre designed reference points

to the speakers in the program from abhaya. - Raja Sekhar

The way you spoke to me has touched my heart to study further.and felt very uneasy for about 2/3 days and now I have decided to purchase on my own

villagers joined the same. There were deliberations around problems faced by villagers.

Following issues were discussed.

Water problems and Power problems Mr Nagabhushana G who is currently working at ANZ Bank as a Product Release Manager Removal of Oil plants settled in Bangalore, approached abhaya for doing something in his native village Health (Dengue Fever) and Bad Roads Bellambari in a collaborative model with Abhaya. ; The Plan is made to visit the village Renovating Temples and conduct a survey to see whether there is a scope to do some good work in the village. Common consensus was obtained to prioritize top three problems.
