About me: I am very hard working student and had been so since my childhood. I enjoy learning
new concepts and ideas. I would continue to follow my passion and face challenges of new endeavors
in future too.
Interests: Power system and Electronics (Reduction of losses on transmission lines, faults analysis,
AC-AC, DC-AC, DC-AC converters), Communication systems (wireless), Digital elctronics and
circuits.

Second Position in Department after VI semester.
Secured first Position in whole batch across all departments in I & III semester.
Granted Change from Mechanical Engineering to Electrical engineering due to
excellent performance in I year.

applicants.

COMPUTER SKILLS:
Languages:
One year practice on HTML at school level.
One semester course each for learning 'C' and 'Python' languages at NIT Kurukshetra and
IIT Ropar respectively.
All Communication Lab and Signal & System experiments completed in MATLAB
environment.
Simulation softwares:
PSCAD: Used in Power Systems Lab to simulate the power flow on the line and observe
many minutia of it.
EMTDC: Used to observe and analyze the various faults and their specific characteristics on
transmission lines.
HFSS: Used to simulate the magnetic and electrical field patterns of wire, horn and reflector
type antennas.
SPICE 5, Proteus 7.0-ISIS and ARES: Used to simulate the elctronic circuits and then their
design on the PCB.
Very thoroughly using these softwares currently in summer project 2011 in Aston
University.

PRESENTATIONS & PROJECTS:
Project on Electronic Enterprise at Aston University under Prof. David Webb (May 2011 – July
2011)
Designing the two electronic kits for sport of "Rowing on boat" at low price level first using
Proteus 7.0 ISIS & ARES simulations and then bringing out practical useful products.
One is to amplify the sound of Coxswain who commands the other sportsperson, for proper
rowing and safety of boat.
Second is to design the micro-controller based stroke counter, timer for the 'Rowing Race'.
This data is needed to be maintained within very precise range for proper fast rowing of boat.
Last stage is to provide proper insulation from water for above two kits.
Project on "Biometric Authentication using Face and Voice feature extraction and their fusion"
in IIT Delhi under Prof. M. Hanmandlu ( May 2010 - July 2010) :
Took the voice samples database of about 60 random persons with specific requirements.
Did find out the two features i.e. Linear Filter-bank Cepstral Coefficient (LFCC) and
Spectral Subband Centroid (SSC) for voice samples and then their fusion was done in
Matlab.
GMM classifier was trained with half samples of one user and other half samples used for
testing.
Mini-Project(15 days) on “Analysis of Performance of Three Phase Induction Motor at rated
frequency & voltage using MATLAB script” in third semester. _________________________________________________________________________________

POSITIONS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Has been ETP cell representative for B.Tech Electrical Engg for one year (2010-11) with active
involvement with issues related to internship and training.
Coordinator and member of Publicity team for cultural fest "Zeitgeist 2010" in IIT Ropar.
Class Representative for Electrical Engg. third year batch for last one year, organized the one and
half day Industrial visit to ABB Faridabad , helped out in organizing Guest Lectures in
Department.
