The Architects for Accessibility has been invited by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas in Manila to conduct Accessibility Auditing for their seven buildings within their compound and furthermore, to rate the Level of Accessibility of each building. Due to the strict security measures, we are not allowed to publish the results of the Accessibility Auditing here. However, as a form of gratitude, they allowed us to have our very own money printed, with our picture and signature included. Best souvenir ever!!!

ACCESSIBILITY AND
UNIVERSAL DESIGN
TRAINING PROGRAM
(BATCH 2) on January
2018 at the University of
Malaya in Malaysia. This training is a month-long program that enforces the definition and advocacy of the rights of Persons with Disability, and streamlining the effects of Universal Design on the broader spectrum. The last program was attended by Ar. Peji Cipriano of our chapter.
The University of Malaya is rated No. 114 in the list of the top universities in the world. The program itself is supported by the Nippon Foundation of Japan

As a continuing project of Architects for Accessibility, the IPAGULONG ANG TULONG (Donate A Wheelchair Program) has identified another recipient for its used wheelchairs.
Mang Wilton had requested a wheelchair for his ailing mother-in-law who has suffered a debilitating stroke. Please keep on bringing new and old wheelchairs and assistive devices to help people in need like Mang Wilton and his family.

Last October 19, 2017, The United Architects of the Philippines- QC Central Chapter held its 4
th General
membership meeting with Guest Speaker Engr. Siojo-Manosca. She discussed strategies and checklist on pre-earthquake assessment. She also discussed her brief experience as a JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency ) scholar especially with disaster risk assessment and research in Japan.
