From before 1929 to at least 1930, Trung was a member of the "Nghe Tinh Soviet" movemen. He is said to have been imprisoned by the French on several occasions. As of 1945, he had organized and led a guerrilla movement in Pa To District (Quang Ngai Province).

After he went to South Vietnam in 1961, Tran Luong was known as Tran Nam Trung. He is married and has six children.

MISCELLANEOUS:

In 1929 Nghi became a member of the Vietnam Young Revolutionary Comrades Association; in 1930 he became a member of the Indochinese Communist Party.

In 1930 Nghi was arrested by the French colonial authorities and sentenced to life imprisonment. He was released in 1936. In 1940 he was again arrested, sentenced to 5 years' imprisonment and sent to Son La. Nghi is married.

Nghia is married and has at least one son.
