Today, Dolly came to learn with us during our Choosing Time. First, we had to give Dolly a carpet space and she helped us to change the day,
date and weather on our calendar! She had lots of important jobs to do, including being a good talk partner and helping to take letters to the
office! We then got straight to work to create a kennel for Dolly, a new lead and collar as well as a comfy bed! Dolly loved writing with us and
listening to our favourite Julia Donaldson stories in the book corner. Can you guess which was her favourite?
Look! I even have my own carpet space in Robins! I sit on the red triangle!I am showing all the children how I do my good sitting!
I am doing such good helping! I took the register and letters to the office. Although I did get a little distracted by all the yummy smells coming from the children’s lunch!
I love being a good talk partner. I had to listen carefully to Phoebe so I could talk back to her about her plan! She wanted to create a new collar for me… I was so excited to see it!
Wow! Robins got straight to work to create a new kennel for me! Dennie even drew the plan! They all wanted to make sure I had a comfy bed and even added a telephone so I could talk to all my sausage dog friends… and of course Mrs Palmer and Miss Hughes!
I love my comfy bed! I jumped off and went back up the ramp to get back on! I got so hot I had to take off my coat!
I was so very lucky to have new collars made! I loved all the jewels and I told the girls ‘the more the better please!’ They had to work with Miss Hughes to measure my collar to make sure it fit and it did!
I am so happy with my new collar and lead! Purple is even Mrs Palmer’s favourite colour too.
I love reading! I loved listening to Imini and Poppieread ‘The Highway Rat’ and ‘Stick Man’. I couldn’t believe the rat was riding the horse! Just like my pet horse at home!
Everybody took such good care of me. All the children love to stroke my soft shiny coat. They even gave me my favourite snack, a bowl of fresh cold milk, delicious!
I loved helping the children with their writing. They were showing Miss Hughes how well they could segment and blend to write cvc words! I was so impressed I even had a go too!
Miss Hughes even took me to the woodland area! I had to be very careful that the conker husks didn’t hurt my paws.
I loved listening to the story ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar.’ I think I can relate to that caterpillar as I would like to eat that food too!
In the afternoon the children painted pictures of me! I look fabulous!
I have had a fantastic morning learning with Robins Class. I wonder what we will be doing next…
I came to class to help us practice our Harvest song… they did so well! I even sang along too! I also explored the Role Play area… Robins and Ducklings are getting ready to celebrate Diwali… I’m hope that I can taste some food next week!
