MINISTRY APPRECIATION MORNING TEA The Church Council invites everyone to stay for morning tea in the hall today after the 9:30 service. The morning tea is the Council’s small way of acknowledging and thanking the many Nedlands Uniting servants for their investment in our church and its outreach activities to the community here and abroad. So whether your servanthood is expressed in small, virtually unseen ways, or in ways that are seen by the whole congregation, please come and share in this time together. Thank you to the people who have bought food today.

THANK YOU Kim would like to thank those women who attended her farewell dinner, for the flowers and card and Chris Bundell for organising it.

CHURCH DIRECTORY - NEW EDITION Available for collection today in the foyer. The directory is only available to those who have their details included; it is not for wider distribution and it does not include details of the whole congregation. Please indicate if you have taken your copy.

PARENTING COURSE (Parenting of Children and Youth) Today at 11am in the Garden Room. Please speak to Kim, Sophie or just come along.

CHRISTMAS POSTCARDS are available for distribution in the local area. Please indicate that you have taken cards for the street/s you have chosen. WEST TIMOR PROJECTS-Uniting World (UW), the Uniting Church overseas mission

agency, is administering a few projects in West Timor. At present NUC is supporting two of these projects.

1. In partnership with UW, we support students to undertake tertiary studies in theology and other fields that may be economically important, at the Christian University in Kupang (UKAW). NUC is already helping ten students studying; paying their University fees, student accommodation and living expenses.

2. NUC also supports UW’s Micro-Finance project to provide loans to families and community groups to expand their small businesses in West Timor. Donations to this project qualify for a tax deduction.

Donations can be made to these projects by:

Placing your donation in the box in the foyer; indicating the project you wish to support and making cheques payable to Nedlands Uniting Church – West Timor Account;

or Sending your donations directly to the bank account, details of which are available in the foyer.
