To get the best out of its relaxing ambience, sit on the open-air area of the pier under a clear sky, gaze beyond the lake to the shape

Danu Batur should be one of the destinations to stop by. Built in 1926, it is the second most important temple all across Bali; right next the Pura Besakih itself. "Ulun Danu" literally translates as "head of the lake". Originally, the Pura and village of Batur were located down in the caldera at the foot of Mount Batur, until a violent eruption

destroyed both entirely, except for the most important 11-tiered structure which was left unscathed. The villagers then moved to the highest rim of the caldera, where they rebuilt their community and the temple, worshipping the goddess Dewi Danu for her blessing upon the lake and their surroundings.

proverbial ‘ramen’ noodles with excellent taste and authentic presentation."

Japan is a wonderful country blessed with

vibrant culture and delicious culinary treat and the country’s most recent ‘export’ of cuisine comes in form of ramen. Hakata Ikkousha is one of the best ramen-serving restaurants in Bali.

There are arrays variety of ramen you can taste at Hakata Ikkousha, which taken their characteristic from Fukuoka-based Hakata ramen. It is known as the best tonkatsu (pork bone broth) ramen in Japan, and it is easily Fukuoka’s most famous food. Their pork ramen consists of mouth-watering slabs of pork meat on top of thick homemade

ramen noodles filled with rich, oily broth which comes in generous portion.

It is a lunch treat at its finest, perfectly enjoyed with a glass of cold or warm ocha tea.

For a more ‘experimental’ way, you can try to order tsukemen—which basically separates ramen from the pork broth, and you can enjoy it by dipping the ramen to broth by yourself. It is a quite enjoyable way to introduce contemporary perception of eating a soup-based noodle dish.

"Established on 2013 by an aspiring young Balinese writer, Tantraz Books aims to preserve the alluring history of Indonesian Kingdom in form of digital art."

If history is forgotten, then the culture may lost, who else is better to keep this from happening other than

our self?

This simple kind of thinking is what drivenAry Wicaksana to start Tantraz Books around three years ago.

It didn’t take long for Tantraz Books to publish their first project Baladeva; a digital comic depicting the epic lore of the Kingdom of Medang, the origin of legendary Majapahit Kingdom.

Tantraz Books is continually looking for advanced ways to spread their masterpiece. They have just digitally integrated themselves through Google Playstore and Apple store, making it

easily accessible through smart phones and electronic gadgets. They also affiliate with some of some major national partners, such as Indonesian musician XXX and also Nugie which just released their soundtrack for Baladeva comic.

Established around 15 years ago in Singapore

by Ms. Tina Lim, a long-time creative fashion designer with a fondness in vintage bags, StrangeButCool Atelier Mini & Vintage contains collections of bags with historical value as well as aesthetic prowess and quality rarely seen in modern high-end product. On the museum gallery, all bags are displayed in detailed manners, either by brands, colors or types, complete with information of each background.

Aside from an engaging gallery of vintage bags, StrangeButCool also owns a workshop, which can be used by the guest by booking or request to make stuffs from recycled tetra pack dream cartons. This is a part of their ‘upcycling’ campaign to encourage the people the importance of recycling their trash into something valuable and special instead of throwing them away, and in the process, help to give the nature necessary breathing space from indestructible garbage which can cause harm to earth itself.

Turn your holiday into an adventure and seek deeper to unravel the wondrous

nature of Bali. In the small, tranquil village of Undisan at Bangli regency, you can found a place of serenity fully constructed by nature’s grace called the green cliff of Undisan.

The village itself is not that hard to find; just follow the road Northeast of Ubud and you will arrive at one of the island’s most recent spiritual destination. Green cliff of Undisan gains its reputation as a place to gain a bit of inner peace and well being by international tourists seeking for peace and comfort deep in nature’s gentle caress.

A narrow ravine sandwiched by green mossy cliffs that-if you follow, leads to a hidden grotto. It is an idyllic spot to briefly escape from all the hustle and bustle of modern life which can take tolls on mind and soul even in your holiday moment.

Every year, on Kuningan day, a vibrant celebration

is always held at Pura Luhur Pakendungan on Kediri district, Tabanan. Although less known than its neighboring Tanah Lot Temple for tourists and visitors, this ancient temple built in 14th century is considered as one of the regional ‘guardian’ of the island, specifically known as the source of prosperity in Tabanan agriculture.

There are several version regarding the background of Pura Luhur Pakendungan, but the most cited one said that it is related to a sacred

weapon named Ki Baru Gajah, which was given by holy priest Dang Hyang Dwijendra to Ki Bendesa Braban-a leader of tribal village, to help him fend off a powerful shaman named Ki Bhuta Babahung, which has been ransacking the village and killing some of its inhabitants. After the shaman has been killed, the weapon was said to keep inside Pakendungan temple.Nowadays, Pura Luhur Pakendungan serves as a place of worship on big Balinese Hindu celebration day and also as a protection shrine for ‘Subak’ irrigation system in Tabanan.

EFFEcTIVE STORagE: TIPS TO Pack-uP BaggagE duRIng hOlIday

We all have been suffering some luggage-related nightmare during our travel, from liquid leaking to overweight baggage. Here we provide you with some

interesting and simple tips to pack up belongings before you embark on your meaningful holiday.

TRIM DOWN THE USUALYes, we know you have lots of favorite outfits to wear, but remember, you’re

going for a laid back vacation, not apparel fashion show. Be ruthless. Lay all your most favorable (and comfortable) outfits on the bed or wide surface, choose

the top two of each and leave the third one at home. Wipe your tears; you’ll see them again eventually sooner or later.

WEAR THE HEAVIESTLet’s play a game of “how many clothes you can wear during your travel to

holiday destination”. Not only will you save space in your case, but also you'll save on baggage allowance. Consider it a light exercise before you’re off to relax

and leave behind all your daily activities. Pack up the lightest flip flop you own and wear your heaviest shoes. It is only temporary.

BREATHING SPACENo matter how hard you’d try not to buy anything during your holiday, sometime you just can’t help but bring home some of the cutest stuffs or souvenirs you’ve

ever seen, especially you can only find it at your holiday destination. To help with this (exciting) dilemma, consider leaving some extra spaces in your suitcase or

bag. It’s always better to be safe than sorry.
