Xplore Our Savior

XPLORE OUR SAVIOR has something to offer two year olds and their parents through grade 6. Register on the Children’s Ministry page at oursav.org or in the office, from there we will be off on a spiritual ad-venture!

6TH GRADE PARENT MEETIG April 19 at 9:30 in the front of the tradi-

tional sanctuary. We will discuss the

philosophy and logistics of the Presen-

tation of Luther’s Small Catechisms to

sixth graders. This is a Faith Milestone

for sixth graders.

INTENTIONAL TRANSITION May 3 grade four will visit RM 56, while sixth grade visits Transform 3:18 (Jr High). This gives the kids a chance to get a feel of what the next grade level will be like. This will help with the intentional retention of kids within the church, as they make the transition from grade to grade.

CHATECHISMS May 9-10 Luther’s Small Catechisms will be presented

to sixth graders. This gives the church, parents, and Godparents an

opportunity to be reminded of the promise they made at the child’s

baptism; while encouraging and celebrating the child’s spiritual growth,

completion of XOS and the transition into Jr. High ministries and confir-

mation. This is a Faith Milestone for sixth graders.

FARWELL May 17 is the ‘Farewell to 6th Grade Party’ in Rm 56. Their years in Xplore Our Savior are coming to an end; and a new chapter in their spiritual growth will begin as they move on to Transform 3:18, Jr. High Youth Group, and Confirmation. Con-gratulations Sixth Graders!

RM 56 On an average Sunday morning about 25 fifth and sixth graders

meet to Xplore their Savior. They are blessed to have Cori Kollmar,

Chris Merkel, Mark Clausen, Traci Vauble, Don McHugh and Jacob Kooi

Pointing them to Christ. Currently the kids are working on meeting

their goal of memorizing the 10 Commandments and their meaning.

XOS LAST DAY May 17

THIRD ANNUAL VBS PHONE-A-THON will be in June, date TBD

“EVEREST” VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL July 20-24 in the evening. While at the earth’s highest mountain, we will be conquering challenges with God’s Mighty Power! A pos-sibility of 300 kids are ex-pected to attend creating a need for over one hundred volunteers. Mark your fami-ly’s calendar!

VBS FOURTH OF JULY FLOAT Your family is invited to join the VBS Fourth of July float team. This experience creates fun family time, in-teraction with other families, and a time to teach our children how to serve God and witness to others, through the building of the float and the proclaiming of His name during the parade.

RIDE THE VBS FOURTH OF JULY FLOAT or walk alongside meet at 9:30 July 4th at our float in the VFW parking lot. The parade will start at 10:00. Wear your VBS T-Shirt! Make this part of your families 4th of July tradition.

THE WALL OF HELPING HANDS Weird question for 5th-8th graders… Have you ever wanted to make a picture of your hand on a copy ma-chine? This summer help get ready for VBS.
