Welcome Visitors and Members! We hope that your experience today will add something meaningful to your life in Christ Jesus. If you are new to the area and would like more information about this church, let us know. If you are just visiting our island community,

then we hope to see you again. Would you like to confess your faith in Jesus Christ and repent of your sins today? Come forward during the last song and we will assist you in obeying Christ as Lord – or let us know your desire some other time. We can arrange a time for your baptism into Christ. If you are a Christian and wandered away from home with the Lord, you may also make your desires known and we will pray for God to forgive your sins, and fully restore you to Jesus Christ and joyful fellowship with other Christians.

Bible Question How was Naaman, the Syrian commander healed of leprosy? (2 Kings 5)

Believe and Receive

The words "it was credited to him" were written not for him alone, but also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness--for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification. (Romans 4:23-25 NIV)

For a variety of reasons, many people do not sincerely and hopefully pray to God. I believe the number one reason people, and even people who go to church, do not pray is that they do not really believe in the power of our unseen God. Moreover many people ask for the wrong reasons. Ex. Consider all the hoopla over the billion-dollar lottery. Many people will petition God to bless them with the winning ticket and they may promise to give some to God. But, when they have a $20, $100 or $1,000 under their discretionary control, they do not give any of that to God by supporting the preaching of the Gospel or to help the sick, poor, widows and orphans.

(James 5:15-18) James teaches the importance of believing prayer for Christians. If people who belong to Christ Jesus do not pray, who will pray for the church, the spread of the Gospel, our families, our leaders, our country and all people of the world?

(Hebrews 11:6) If we do not believe, we cannot please God who gives us life, liberty and pursuit of happiness.

(Ephesians 4:1-6) Just as Jesus Christ prayed fervently for the unity of believers, we must never give up working diligently for the unity of all Christians. Let us personalize our faith with these scriptural affirmations:I believe in the Oneness of our faith!

One Body * One Spirit * One Hope * One Lord * One Faith * One Baptism * One God and Father of all!

Come to Jesus today with trusting faith and you receive the blessings of forgiveness and the Holy Spirit’s presence in your life. DB
