The exclusivity of both model versions can be accentuated

by the chrome elements such as the strips around the side windows

or the protective side door strips. The attractiveness of the combi

version can further be underlined by the roof railings in exclusive silver colour.

The rear of the liftback version is attractive thanks to its elegant lines. The registration plate is now located in the lengthwise recession of the luggage compartment door guarded by the new triangle-shaped rear lights. The rear bumper refl ectors, so-called cat’s eyes, are new in this vehicle version.

The rear of the combi version gives a robust feel evoking reliability, respectability and safety. The space for the registration plate is outlined by crystalline recessions, reminiscent of Czech crystal – one of the distinctive features of the new ŠKODA design language.

The new triangle-shaped rear lights of the liftback version are equipped with highly effi cient LED diodes. The brand is presented by the word ŠKODA in chrome and a new typeface.

Bi-Xenon headlamps with LED daytime running lights perfectly match the overall dynamic look. LED diodes are located in two vertical rows on the outer edge of the headlamp, making the car clearly visible and catching the eye with C-shaped illumination, so far known only with the rear lights.

The design of Superb vehicles is now defi ned by the new ŠKODA design language, which brings changes evident at fi rst sight thanks to its simple, precise and crystalline approach. The front is dominated by the new ŠKODA logo located above the chrome frame of the front grille and aligned with the headlamps whose straight lines give a compact yet dynamic impression. The fog lamps are integrated into the air intake grille designed in a honeycomb shape.

The triple C-letter illumination rear lights are among the characteristic features of the combi version. On the right hand side is a Superb model line badge in a new typeface.

A practical removable LED fl ashlight can be found on the left side of the luggage compartment of the combi version. It’s equipped with a magnet, so it can be mounted, for example, on the body of the vehicle when needed, such as when changing a punctured tyre. It recharges automatically when put back in its place, while the engine is running.

The everyday use of the car will be especially pleasant thanks to a range of Simply Clever ideas bringing practical solutions. You will no longer need to worry about where to store a wet umbrella, where to put your drink or how to protect yourself from sun glare. The new Superb is full of functional details that will come in handy on your journeys.

When you need to display a parking ticket in a visible place under the windscreen, the solution is simple. The car is equipped with a parking ticket holder.

The ingenious compartment with an originalSuperb umbrella is designed so that the water from a wet umbrella fl ows away from the car.

The storage net on the passenger side of the centre console is ideal for storing various small objects.

Some specifi c features are exclusive to the Superb in the liftback version. One such feature is the TwinDoor, the variable opening of the 5th door, which is a patent of the ŠKODA brand. This specifi c piece of equipment enables transformation of this classically elegant sedan into a practical liftback. Another appealing element is the electric sunroof with solar cells, which enables an interior temperature reduction by up to 25°C.

The electric sunroof with solar cells is a unique example of modern technology that enhances comfort in the Superb vehicle. Solar cells inside the window, whether open or closed, supply electric energy that drives an air conditioning ventilator, which takes care of air circulation inside the vehicle. Therefore, the Superb provides you with a fresh and pleasant climate in the interior even after extended parking in the sun.

The TwinDoor represents a unique structural and design solution. It allows you to open only the luggage compartment cover or the entire 5th door including the rear window, which provides unlimited access to the luggage compartment and easy handling of bulky items. The TwinDoor in the new Superb cars features a simpler innovated control mechanism, with one button to open the cover and another to open the whole door.

An exceptionally pleasant feature is the two-part electrically-adjustable panoramic sunroof, which will bring more riding enjoyment to the whole crew. The whole sunroof can be covered with an electrically-adjustable net roll cover.

The electrically-controlled5th door is opened andclosed automatically. It can becontrolled from four differentlocations: button on key withremote control, button oncentre console, internal buttonon 5th door panelling andexternal Softtouch button.You may adjust the upper doorposition individually accordingto your needs.

The exceptionally spacious interior of the new Superb offers lots of legroom and headroom for the whole crew. The driver will also appreciate the clear view in all directions. The dashboard evokes a feeling of comfort at fi rst sight as well as at fi rst touch.The placement of individual control components was designed so that you can becomeoriented quickly and easily behind the steering wheel. The controls are all at an arm’s lengthand in places where you would expect them intuitively.

The heated front windscreen will quickly clear frost or steam and you arethus guaranteed a clear view in any weather.

Heating of the rear seats is regulated by a separate control on the rear sideof the Jumbo Box. This convenient feature, which contributes to the comfortof your ride in cold weather, is supplied exclusively in combination withheating of the front seats.

The next generation Automatic Parking Assistant, which is activated by a button to the right of the gear stick, brings new functions. It will select an appropriate parking place, park in a row of parallel or perpendicular parked vehicles, and can even drive out of a row of parallel parked vehicles. In the case of parallel parking, it only needs a space 60 cm longer than the car itself. The parking procedure, including searching for a suitable parking place, is shown on the Maxi DOT display.

Turning off the parking sensor acoustic signal can be useful in heavy city traffi c.

The TPM (Tyre Pressure Monitoring) is a system that utilises data from theABS (Anti-lock Braking System) sensors. Any decrease in the under-infl atedtyre revolution speed is indicated on the instrument panel to alert the driver.

The ASR (Anti-Slip Regulation) can be deactivated if necessary whilethe ESC (Electronic Stability Control) remains active.

The front seats ventilation, which can be set to two different levels of intensity, is available exclusively in combination with electrically-adjustable heated front seats with perforated leather upholstery. The electrically-adjustable driver seat is equipped with memory, which can store three different positions of the seat and the external mirrors.

Modern technologies not only make travelling more pleasant but increase the ease of handling

the vehicle. For example, the multifunctional 3-spoke leather steering wheel in its top version

offers you control of the radio, phone and theautomatic DSG (Direct Shift Gearbox).

A multifunctional 4-spoke leather steeringwheel enabling control of the radio and phone

is also available.

Automatic DSG, available in both 6-speed and 7-speed versions,guarantees smooth and rapid gearshifts resulting in maximum utilisationof the potential of the engine’s torque.

The Columbus navigation system with a 6.5" colour touch-screen and voice command function enables watching TV broadcasts and browsing teletext pages in combination with the TV tuner.

The Bolero radio is an original audio system with a multitudeof functions, such as a reader for SD or MMC data cards,the ability to play music CDs as well as fi les in MP3 and WMAformats, memory for radio traffi c reports (TIM), 6-CD changerand more.

The Sound System with a 10-channelamplifi er plus a digital equaliser and ten speakers provides excellent soundreproduction in the vehicle.

The MDI (Mobile DeviceInterface) gives youthe ability to controla connected externaldevice through theradio, navigation system or multifunctional steering wheel.

The GSM III phone preparation enables a set up of a wireless network within the car and sharing internet connection with other compatible devices onboard, such as a notebook, tablet etc.

In vehicles equipped withKESSY (Keyless Entry,Start and exit SYstem)there is a Start/Stopbutton on the steeringcolumn for keylessstarting and switchingoff of the engine.

Light coming inside the combi version through the electrically-adjustable panoramic sunroof enhances the pleasure and enjoyment of the ride. When travelling at night you will appreciate various lighting options in the interior as well as around the car.

CatVision, softly diffused lighting of the interior with two white LED diodes, lights up together with lighting of the door handles when the low beam headlamps are turned on.

Illuminated internal door handles make exiting the car in the dark easier.

The Boarding Spots, designed to illuminate the entry area, arelocated on the external mirrors and on the underside of thefront and rear doors and help you to avoid puddles in the dark.

Luggage compartment lighting in the combi version is very purposefully designed. There are two small lights located on the inner side of the 5th door, intensively illuminating not only the spacious luggage compartment, but also the space behind the vehicle.

Climatronic, dual-zone air conditioning with electronic regulation, enables setting a different temperature for the left and right sides of the interior.

The information display located on the rear side of the Jumbo Box shows the time and outdoortemperature. There can also be a 12V outlet and control for the heating of the rear seats.

The ventilated front seats, upholstered in perforated leather, will bring you the highest comfort and driving pleasure. The ventilation is facilitated by two ventilators placed in the seats and the backrests.

Air inlets on the B-columns increase the thermal comfortof passengers in the rear.

Comfort plays a signifi cant role when travelling and, therefore, our offer of comfort accessories is very broad. We thought of the driver and every passenger so that everyone will enjoy the ride in any seat.

Roll blinds for the rear side windows with manual control for both model versions signifi cantly increase passenger comfort in the rear seats during sunny weather.

To keep an even more pleasant interior temperature during summer months, the liftback version can be equipped with a manually-controlled roll blind for the rear window.

SunSet, windows with a higher density of tint in the rear part of the vehicle, provide a simple yet effective protection from direct sunlight. Passengers in the rear seats will also appreciate a greater sense of privacy.

The noble steel foot pedal covers are offered as part of the sports package, which further contains a sports chassis, rear spoiler in body colour (liftback version only), 3-spoke leather steering wheel and small leather package.

The air-conditioned storage compartment in the dashboard is located opposite the front passenger seat.

Control of the front passenger seat from the rear is a new feature of the Superb model. So now, when the front passenger seat isn’t occupied, the rear seat passenger can quickly and effortlessly maximise his/her legroom. The controls are easily accessible also from the driver’s position.

Integrated telescopic headlamp washers easily take care of dust and mud.

External mirrors, which retract automatically once you lock the car, are especially useful when parking on city streets.

The Unibag removable sack

is suitable for ski or snowboard

transportation.

With the net programme you will increase the variability of the luggage space and prevent the carried objects from moving. The vertical net can be installed in the middle of the compartment in the combi versions with integrated aluminium strips.

To position and secure luggage, the combi version can be equipped with a system of integrated aluminium strips with fi xing elements. With the retractable partition, which is incorporated in the system, you may for example separate the luggage space into two parts while the fi xing strap may be used to prevent luggage from sliding around.

The mid-level luggage compartment fl oor levels the fl oor with the loading edge, which creates a hidden storage area. The fl oor of the combi version can be extended to cover the loading edge, which will make it easier for you to handle luggage of a greater size or weight.

Closed storage compartments can be found behind the rear

wheel arches. Practical foldable hooks located above the

arches make transporting your shopping easier. You will also fi nd a useful 12V socket here.

The space that the new Superb offers for luggage is exceptional. The luggage compartment of the combi version with a basic volume of 633 litres can be extended up to 1,865 litres by folding the rear seats. In vehicles with a mid-level luggage compartment fl oor you can create a fl at loading space with a length of 1,916 mm.

The rain sensor automatically activates the front Aero-wipers

based on the rain intensity, applying even pressure on the

glass and, therefore, wiping evenly along their

whole length.

Head airbags create a protective wall upon their activation, which protects the occupants in the front and rear against head injury.

For your maximum safety, the car can be equipped with up to nine airbags. The driver and passenger may, in addition to the front airbags, rely on the front side airbags designed to protect the chest and pelvis of passengers in the event of lateral impact (see photo). The car can further be equipped with rear side airbags.

The combi version is equipped with a highly functional rear Aero-wiper.

The knee airbag, located under the

steering wheelcolumn, protects

the driver’s knees and shins.

Safety lights on the panelling of the front and rear doors alert passing drivers to the open doors of the stopped vehicle.

Your safety, especially on long motorway journeys, is contributed to by the rest assistant, which, at speeds above 65 km/h, evaluates data from the power steering sensors. When the system detects behaviour indicating that the driver might be tired, it suggests to take a break.

In all Superb models, you can rely on outstanding safety equipment with state-of-the-art technology. Bi-Xenon headlamps with AFS (Adaptive Frontlight System), which are able to adjust the lighting in front of the car to the current driving conditions, add to your safety behind the wheel. The AFS works in two different modes: extra-urban and urban. Further, AFS offers the “rain” functionality intended for driving in conditions of reduced visibility. In addition, the Bi-Xenon headlamps are equipped with rotary modules, which illuminate turns as you drive through them. Further enhanced safety is contributed to by front fog lamps with the Corner function, which is particularly useful during turns in poorly lit areas, plus integrated daytime running lights. The linear refl ective

surfaces, “cat’s eyes”, improve visibility

of the car from the rear.

Towards new driving experiences: ŠKODA Superb 4x4.The 4x4 version of both the liftback and combi version brings you the benefi ts of a 4-wheel drive in addition to the excellent characteristicsof this model, such as spaciousness, comfortand practicality. In terms of driving properties,the 4x4 version adds a much more enjoyableand sporty angle to the already luxuriousdriving experience in the Superb. When drivingthe 4x4 version you will feel much safer evenon loose surface roads.

There are four engines available for the4-wheel drive version – two petrol engines andtwo diesel engines. The 1.8 TSI/118kW petroland 2.0 TDI CR DPF/103kW diesel enginesare available with a proven manual 6-speedtransmission. The 2.0 TDI CR DPF/125kWdiesel as well as our top 3.6 FSI V6/191kW6-cylinder petrol engines are exclusivelydelivered with the automatic 6-speed DSG.

The rear axle of the 4x4 versions is controlled by the Haldex clutch control unit, whichimmediately reacts to driving conditions and prevents the front wheels from slipping.

In this respect the best values are displayed by GreenLine vehicles, which offer an extraordinary level of respect for the environment and considerable driving comfort thanks to modern technical solutions. The new Superb GreenLine vehicles have, among other modifi cations, a lower chassis and reduced weight. Powered by the 1.6 TDI CR DPF/77kW engine with a manual 6-speed transmission it achieves a combined consumption of 4.2 l/100 km (combi 4.3 l/100 km) at a CO2 emission level of 109 g/km (combi 113 g/km).

The Start-Stop system automatically switches off the engine, for example while waiting at the traffi c lights or when moving slowly in a queue of cars. By pressing the clutch pedal the engine automatically restarts. The driver can deactivate the Start-Stop system with a button located on the central console. Engine load reduction and more economical running are further assisted by the energy recovery functionality, which enables effective use of the car’s kinetic energy for battery recharging.

The reduced drag resistance coeffi cient of the SuperbGreenLine model is largely achieved by the spoiler on the 5th door. The GreenLine label can also be found on the rear of the car.

The GreenLine version may be equipped with the 7.0J x 16" Helix alloy wheels with 205/55 R16 tyres with low rolling resistance (see photo). The Active equipment version comes with the 7.0J x 16" steel wheels with Solaris hub covers and the Ambition and Elegance versions come with the 7.0J x 16" Spectrum alloy wheels.
