    TARPORLEY PARISH COUNCILNEWSLETTER

Public meeting date orsheltered housing plansSPECIAL Public Meeting Monday 29th April at 8pm in the main hall of the Community

    Centre

The Parish Council invite local residents to come and present their views to the Councillors

about the revised planning application (Available at www.cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk Ref13/01249/OUT) for the Land Rear of Trap Hill, Birch Heath Road, Tarporley.

This meeting will give residents more time to have their say than will be possible at the Open

Forum of the next Parish Council meeting. As this is in effect a new application, people need to

submit their comments to this plan, even if they commented on the previous one. These plans

are for a 35 dwelling sheltered housing scheme, with warden and communal facilities.

Parish councils annual meetingTHE Annual Meeting of the Parish Councilwill be held on Monday 13th May at 7 pm

at the Community Centre, to which all

residents are invited to come and hear

the presentations of the annual report

and accounts, and an up-date about the

    Tarporley Neighbourhood Plan. Please

    come along.

In recognition of the recent changes inPlanning Law, and the pressure to build

more houses in Cheshire, the Parish

    Council has prepared some guidelines

which it will use when considering planning

    applications. The Parish Council knows

that when CWaC is deemed not to have a 5

    year settlement boundary.

The Parish Council wants to inuence

    developers, and preferably before a

developer submits its plans for planning

approval, so that any new development

ts the housing needs of the village; does

not damage the village infrastructure; is in

keeping with Tarporleys rural character and

brings sufcient benet to the community.

Items regarded as community benets for

    example include increasing the parking

spaces in the centre of the village; trafc

lights onto the by-pass at the southern end

of the village, and improvements to the

primary school and local medical facilities.

Currently the Parish Council has 29 items

on its list. Copies of these Guidelines, an

Addendum to the Village Design Statement

and the List of Community Benet items

can be found on the Parish Council

    web site www.tarporley.org.uk, under

publications, and are available from the

    Clerk Tel 01829 733 496.

    FINANCIAL Planning advice is about

taking care of all your financial needs

together with those of your family, but

the reality is that very few of us manageour finances as best we might.

    T is is ar y surprising - t e inancia wor is

complex and fast changing, with more and more

institutions no longer offering face to face financial

planning advice and many of the high street banks

simply referring you to a website.

chieving a successful outcome often means

spen ing uge amounts o time researc ing t echoices and options available and yet most of us have

neither the time nor, it has to be said, the inclination

to make the most of what is on offer.

    T e simp e way out o t is i emma is o course to

see inancia a vice an sensi y many o us o jus

that. The problem is that often, financial advice is too

arrow, a ressing t e question you ave raise ut

failing to see the bigger picture. For example, if youask for advice on investing tax-efficiently in an ISA

you wi pro a y get it. W at you on t get, owever,

is a view on whether you would be better off putting

the money into your pension plan or reducing your

    mortgage borrowings.

f you own or manage a business, you should expect

advice that extends seamlessly from your personal

inances to your business interests. This means, for

example, advice on the best approach to realisingthe value of your ownership, both over the years

and when you come to implementing your exit

strategy. Aligned with your interests are those of your

employees so you will need someone who can also

where I have lived for most of my life, I work

closely with my clients to fully understand their

    nancial aspirations, hopes and fears.

I would like to invite readers of Tarporley Talk to

discover for themselves my unique approach to

    nancial planning

    SEEKING FINANCIAL PLANNING

I would expect myinancial adviser to be

professional, what came as a most pleasant

surprise was the personal touch and friendly

attitude I and my family received initially, and

still do in all our dealings with Carolyn. I rec

    ommend her unreservedly.

provi e a tai ore pac age o group ene its - ranging

    from pensions to healthcare plans.

Your financial situation is unique so the core of

financial planning should be a personal serviceand a long-term relationship with a chosen adviser

    combining ongoing regular and comprehensive

t an se you a inancia pro uct an never see

you again, a wealth manager should be on hand

So where do you look? private banking services,

inancia a visers, iscretionary un managers, lawyers, tax planners and accountants all offer

acets o inancia p anning an wea t management

unbury Parish Plan prizesTHE Bunbury Parish Plan Steering Group would like to thank everyone who participated

in answering the questionnaires and we are very pleased with the response which is

approximately 50% of the number distributed.

The data has been collated and we are working hard to extract the information that will

form the Parish Plan. We are hoping to have a display in The Pavilion on Village Day,

to give an insight of the answers we received, followed later in the year by a meeting todiscuss the results/way forward more fully.

We would like to thank the prize donors, once again, for their generosity and also

everyone who provided space in their premises for the collection boxes, which helped

us achieve such a successful result. Winners of the rafe were, Youth Questionnaire

    hair removal, laser or electrolysis?

A . Laser can generally only be used on clients with fair skin and dark hair. This

is because laser targets pigment and so it will not be effective on light coloured

hair as the hairs do not have any pigment and if skin is dark then the laser may

cause loss of skin pigment. Electrolysis can be used on any hair colour or

skin colour because it targets the dermal papilla, the area from where the hair

grows, and pigment does not inuence the treatment. Sometimes laser and

electrolysis can be combined, we often have clients attend for electrolysis

health & beautywith Angela BartlettQ. What are the best anti-

    ageing ingredients to look for

    in skin care creams?

    A. As you will probably realise by

now, I think the best anti-ageingingredient is sunscreen to prevent

    long term, low-level exposure

to UV rays that are present in

    daylight. Vitamins A,C and E

    formulated for topical application

    are also highly effect. However,

    scientists at University of Reading

    have just discovered that peptides

(fragments of proteins) really dowork as anti-wrinkle agents in skin

care products. To nd out how

    peptides work and get information

    about the Dermalogica products
