• Writing skills laboratory

• Work on news releases, fact sheets, PSAs, letters to the editor, social media

• Utilize strategy and theory in writing

• Working knowledge of AP style

• Rewrite opportunities

Your work will be marked on a 0-4 scale –

with a 4 corresponding to an “A’ and a 0 to a “F” similar to your GPA.

4 - The work is of professional quality, acceptable in a professional setting

3 - The work is good but needs editing

2 - Quality of work is weak and needs major editing

1 - Work fails to meet requirements and needs a complete rewrite

0 - Unacceptable

Final grades will be based on the following scale:

A 93-100

B 86-92

C 78-85

D 70-77

F 69 or below

Class and homework assignments:30%

Tests and quizzes: 30%
