• Take a broad range of courses in ecology and sustainable development, while building your business acumen with project management courses.

• Complete a real-world research project; past projects include estimating the population density of local deer, exploring corporate sustainability goal setting and studying the impact of fracking on groundwater.

• Choose an issue related to sustainability, and collaborate on a scientific project with a corporation, research institute or government agency in the U.S. or abroad.

• Travel to Costa Rica in May of your first year to study sustainable development, and learn field research strategies at stations across three ecosystems.

• Intern at the site of your choice anywhere in the world — example sites include South Texas, United Nations agencies in Europe or returning to Costa Rica.
