Classified School Employee Appreciation Week March 9th through the 13th is Classified Appreciation Week and our District is fortunate to have a great team of educa-tional support professionals who are dedicated to helping our district succeed. These individuals are valued for the out-standing job that they do each and every day. Their roles range from maintenance, custodial, and office staff to those who work in the classrooms providing an extra set of hands for our teachers and students. 5TH GRADE REPORTS
Each year the 5th grade students work really hard on their state reports. These reports are displayed in the building and students pre-sent their work to the School Board Members during a regularly scheduled Board Meeting.

Duck Dynasty Day
Elementary staff member Jared Olson has a cousin who teaches in Louisiana. To help out the students in his elementary, Adna students set a goal of collecting 500 books and exceeded that goal with over 700 books. Since Duck Dynasty is located in Loui-siana, they celebrated with a Duck Dynasty Day.

Drivers Ed- Adna High School is offering a traffic safety educa-
tion course this coming spring. The 2015 course will begin in May and continue through June. Class time is from 7:00am to 8:00am, Monday thru Friday. A minimum of 25 students is needed to offer the course. Students turning 15 years old before May 1st are eligible to register. Reg-istration is online and the cost is $380.00. Adna was selected to host WIAA 1B/2B Regional Wrestling
Tournament on February 14. Over one hundred wrestlers
from across Western Washington participated in the one
day event. Tyler Layden, sophomore wrestler, opens the
matches with the playing of the National Anthem.

Water Quality Testing Grant
During this past fall the seventh grade science class conducted wa-ter testing on the Chehalis River at the Rainbow Falls State Park site. They will be returning to the site to do follow up testing.
The students have been fortunate to participate in this program for the past 16 years t h r o u g h t h e “Chehalis Basin Education Consor-tium” Grant.

Results of the SW WA Regional Solo & Ensemble festival in Longview this weekend: 31 en-tr ies per formed 6th -12th grade. All entries either received
a superior or an excellent rating.
Kyler Walker a senior in the Adna High School Band, has been selected to participate in the WIAA/WMEA State Solo and Ensem-ble Contest @ Central Washington University on Friday April 24th. This
event provides the opportunity for the finest of Washington's high school music students to hear each other in a competitive situation. Par-ticipants are selected from one of 22 regional contests, the winners in each category move on to the state competition. Kyler will be performing a baritone solo.

A Week At Our Capital
Two Adna High School students have been
selected to serve as pages during the
current legislative session. Brandon Ap-
person and Garrett Voyles will work in
Senator Hatfield’s office. Paging presents
students with a unique educational oppor-
tunity to participate in the legislative pro-
cess. Selection as a page is a great honor. Page duties are varied. They range
from ceremonial tasks such as presenting the flags to operational chores like
distributing amendments during legislative sessions. Each job is vital to the
e f f i c i e n t o p e r a t i o n o f t h e L e g i s l a t u r e .

The Auction will be celebrating 26 years at this year’s dinner on March 28, 2015.
To start a new memorial fund you need to first contact the foundation through the district
