Overview of workshop:
Utility and telecoms companies have been measuring theservices they provide customers for many years: billing andpredicting demand on the basis of volumes supplied. What lessons have been learnt from the developmentand delivery of this infrastructure that can point to bestpractice and share an approach that customers canreadily accept?
Why you should attend:• Energy companies – providing insight into best practice
and infrastructure challenges of their current and futuresystems as smart metering is rolled out.
• IT/data companies – the back office element – learningthe examples from across the utility sector andmaximizing benefits.
• Water companies – insight into the potential hazards ofmetering and providing their own insight from the workdone to date on compulsory metering to managedemand and provide information.
• Policy makers – informing the debate and the directionof travel, using best practice to lead policy anddelivery.
