INDUSTRY SPEAKERS

ExHIBITORS

Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of SES, I would like to welcome you all to SMi Group’s 17th annual GlobalMilSatCom conference & exhibition.

As a long term member and lead sponsor, SES is happy to be part of this prominentmilitary satellite communication conference and exhibition. I am also particularlyproud to have been Chairman of this event for the past 12 years and have seen itgrow into an industry stalwart over the years.

Due to the global financial and economic constraints, reducing expenditure is aprimary concern for many Governments around the world. To manage thereduction in defence budget and at the same time maximising their informationsupremacy is the challenge that is being faced by many Governments in planningtheir respective defence budgets. Our aim is to ensure flexibility for the ever-changing missions of governments and institutions in the security, defence and civilarenas and to deploy integrated and solutions to customers. A case in point, isSES's recent strategic partnership with the Luxembourg Government calledLuxGovSat, where we jointly ordered a satellite in military bands, SES-16 to satisfytheir requirements. This is just one example of how industry can respond tochanging requirements with new ideas and ever evolving solutions.

This conference is an ideal platform to hear about these ideas in a knowledge-sharing environment involving decision makers, Government representatives, military and other leading international industry professionals.

Please join in the question and answer sessions, network with industry peers andlearn about new breakthroughs in this defence arena. But most of all, enjoyyourselves at this premier annual event in London.

I look forward to seeing you there.

Yours sincerely,

Gerard Donelan Vice-President Governments and Institutions, SES
