TRANSCRIPT
From the Senior Warden:
April showers bring May flowers. Easter is passing, and on May 20 we have Pentecost, when the Holy
Spirit comes upon us. Everything is new and fresh as we begin our newness together, sharing hope and
life, helping each other, as we begin to see changes within the church.
Let me update you on the things to come. I have contacted Fr. Karl Lusk and we are arranging for his team,
the Pastoral Response Team mentioned in last month’s “Vestry Notes” column, to come and give us a visit.
This will be happening soon, and we will let you know when a date has been set. I e-mailed the always-
busy Canon Amy to ask her help with the search committee and am waiting for her reply. Canon Jason
will be here on June 10.
Please share any concerns with your vestry. We cannot fix things if we do not know what is wrong. Go to
the vestry meetings. If you have an idea, bring it up; we can talk about it. If you don’t get an answer from
the vestry, let me know. I am here to keep things going.
I will be out of town on family matters May 9-19, so the Junior Warden will be the person to contact during
that time.
God bless and keep you all safe.
Gary Steffen, Senior Warden

Canticle 13 is an alternate for the Psalm reading
chosen for Trinity Sunday. Here it is for those of you who would like to add to your lectionary meditations.
A Song of Praise Benedictus es, Domine
Song of the Three Young Men, 29-34
Glory to you, Lord God of our fathers;
you are worthy of praise; glory to you.
Glory to you for the radiance of your holy Name;
we will praise you and highly exalt you for
ever.
Glory to you in the splendor of your temple;
on the throne of your majesty, glory to you.
Glory to you, seated between the Cherubim;
we will praise you and highly exalt you for
ever.
Glory to you, beholding the depths;
in the high vault of heaven, glory to you.
Glory to you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit;
we will praise you and highly exalt you for
ever.
