The Brexit development continues its uncertain movement ahead in the UK. In Asia North Korea tested a new submarine ballistic missile just a day after agreeing with Washington to resume nuclear talks. Along with all this the strike on Syria was a big developemnt once again seeing loads of violance and death. The Humanitarian crisis comes in various forms and the immigrant crisis found another saddening news when on the 22nd of October , thirty-nine bodies were found in a container truck in Essex, England carrying illegal immigrants. Ofcourse not to forget the natural calamaities like flood and forest fires .. There has been numerous sports events going around the world . Be it the Premier league and La liga football matches or the Badminton and golf events . In the F1 racing current leader Lewis Hamilton won the Mexican grand prix taking another step closer to his world title. Lastly the Rugby world cup in Yokohama Japan saw South Africa beat England to lift the Rugby World cup for the 3rd time .. Lets Read On ………

Festivals of India – Dussehra at Kolkata

During the first /second week of October many parts of India celebrate the religious festival of Dussehra . One of the main places is in Mysore which has the Elephant procession in all its grandeur. But undoubtedly the Dussehra capital of India is Kolkata in West Bengal, where Dussehra is celebrated in all its splendour. This is a ten day festival and during the last six days Kolkata is all lit up and lives up to its pseudonym of 'City of Joy' . Kolkata doesn't sleep during these days; Music, dance, colours, culture and foods pervade the streets of Kolkata. Overcrowded streets, huge decorated pandals, delicious cuisine, delightful music and dance, opulent culture and magnificent lighting characterise the Durga Puja in Kolkata. Bengalis are known for their love for food. While the rest of the country follows a strict vegetarian diet during the festival, Non- veg dishes also are available at Kolkata. The mouth-watering street food in Kolkata is very famous and this is where you need to be. Bengali sweets are irresistible for anyone.
