Light Moments A Twitter exchange between an angry customer and an apologetic Domino's Pizza employee Customer: "Yoooo I ordered a Pizza & Came with no Toppings on it or anything, it's Just Bread" Domino's: "We're sorry to hear about this!" Customer (minutes later): "Never mind, I opened the pizza upside down ______________________________________________________________________________________________ An Old man went to the doctor complaining of a terrible pain in his leg. “I am afraid it’s just old age”, replied the doctor, “there is nothing we can do about it.” “That can’t be” fumed the old man, “you don’t know what you are doing.” “How can you possibly know I am wrong?” countered the doctor. “Well it’s quite obvious,” the old man replied, “my other leg is fine, and it’s the exact same age!” ______________________________________________________________________________________________ John was coming out of church one day, and the vicar was standing at the door, as always, to shake hands with the worshipers. India celebrated its 70th Republic day on the 26th of Jan. Republic Day is a national holiday in the country. The main highlight of the day is the Republic Day Parade in the capital state of New Delhi. The entire event lasts for about 3 hours and is presided by the President and Prime Minister of India, the parade begins from Rajghat. Army, navy, and the armed forces march their way saluting the freedom fighters and the eminent personalities on the dias.

Internationaly politics hogged prime position in UK it was the discussion and voting on the BREXIT with uncertainity firmly in place . Similarly the US faced the longest shut down of 35 days which finally was called off. Not to forget the upheavels in Venezuela . So the year has well and truly started with a bang.

Away from all these the sporting arena showcased the first Grand slam of the year the Australian open tennis which saw the resurgent Novak Djokovic completely destroy another champion player Rafael Nadal to win the Mens crown. The Womens crown was won by the emerging talent from Asia the young Naomi Osaka of Japan.

One of the greatest turnarounds for Premier league football fans was the revival of Manchester united to its old winning ways under interin coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. It has been an eight match winning streak and the team looks like the Manchester united of old .

So we have settled into the New year and it already has been eventful in all ways ……

Sevenseas Bangalore makes a BIG AIR move

Sevenseas Bangalore team executed an Air shipment of 21 Tons in one lot out of Bangalore . This is for one of our oldest customers and the scope of activity involved movement Door to Door. The shipment was moved to the Bangalore airport, Customs clearance organized , booked on Airline and the shipment was custom cleared and delivered to consignee door by our overseas partner . The shipment was moved on freighter in one lot out of Bangalore and connected on pre planned 2 lots out of transhipment point. Sevenseas Bangalore executes another Project Clearance

Sevenseas Bangalore team was awarded a big Project of regular 40 foot Flat Racks that was moved inbound to ICD Bangalore port . Sevenseas undertook the customs clearance and delivery on site . This is also an old Corporate customers . The project was time bound and the cargo oversize . There also were hurdles of road movement . The road mpvement had to be done with supervision . One of our operation staff moved along with the cargo and organized the passage as there were few delays and break downs enroute . But all was organized and our customer sent in a certficate of appreciation for the efforts and has entrusted Sevenseas Bangalore with further shipments as part of the project and more … Some snapshots from the action ……

Amazing cultural traditions – Bali’s day of silence (nyepi)

Nyepi is a Balinese "Day of Silence" that is commemorated every new year according to the Balinese calendar (in 2019, it falls on March 7). It is a celebration mainly in Bali, Indonesia. Nyepi, a public holiday in Indonesia, is a day of silence, fasting and meditation for the Balinese. The day following Nyepi is also celebrated as New Year's Day. Observed from 6 a.m. until 6 a.m. the next morning, Nyepi is a day reserved for self-reflection, and as such, anything that might interfere with that purpose is restricted. The main restrictions are no lighting fires (and lights must be kept low); no working; no entertainment or pleasure; no traveling; and, for some, no talking or eating at all. The effect of these prohibitions is that Bali's usually bustling streets and roads are empty, there is little or no noise from TVs and radios, and few signs of activity are seen even inside homes. The only people to be seen outdoors are the Pecalang, traditional security men who patrol the streets to ensure the prohibitions are being followed. The only airport in Bali Denpasar remains closed for the entire day. The only exceptions granted are for emergency vehicles responding to life-threatening conditions and women about to give birth.

We all crave for acceptance from all around us. If not we feel disappointed. But the fact of life is that you can never be universally accepted ….. Rightly said … You can’t please everyone, And you can’t make everyone like you ….
