Casserole Sunday THIS Sunday, March 27, 2016
Please bring in your casseroles for the homeless of Our Brother's House of Bethesda Project by this Sunday. Casserole pans and instructions are availa-ble in the freezer room, next to the Church lobby. Thank you for your generosity!
Men’s Night!
Our next Men’s night will be March 31, 7:00PM-
9:00PM. Join us for pizza, beer, non-alcoholic drinks, male fellowship, and prayer. In the meantime if you’re struggling with how to feel more manly here are some tips: 1. Hold an axe more often (small print: men with small children should not have axes lying around, these are all joke suggestions). 2. Before getting into the shower sing “I’m too sexy for my shirt, pants, etc.” Until you are ready to enter the shower. 3. Watch The Notebook...without cryingKtoo
loudly.
WeShare Assistance
After all Masses next Saturday April 2 and Sunday April 3, representatives from the Parish Finance Council will be on hand to answer any questions you may have regarding
WeShare Electronic Giving.
The representatives can provide assistance to
anyone that needs help to signing up and or
make changes on their existing WeShare ac-
count.
WeShare can process your contributions with a
credit card or checking account. Using WeShare
also saves the parish funds by not sending family
envelopes. If you have any advanced questions
please call Bob at 610.692.2216, extension 258.
Thank you!

11 Cents: He Is Risen!
Shane is an older brother of one of my best friends.
He was born with severe mental disabilities and
was found to have the rare combination of epilepsy
to go with it. Their parents, with seven children to-
tal, were never exactly sure how they would man-
age.
When people would see the family, they would of-
ten apologize that such a “tragic” thing had hap-
pened. This confused my friend as a child because
all she knew was that Shane was almost perpetual-
ly joyful and evoked an extra deep love from every-
one in the family.
There were times when Shane would have sei-
zures in public or at home, and they were truly hor-
rific. Afterwards the glow from his face would es-
cape for a couple of days but never for long. He
soon he would be back at his old shenanigans.
One of the funniest examples was, when someone
new visited the house. If they didn’t know that they
were sitting where Shane wanted to sit, he would
simply sit right on top of them. Someone would try
to quickly inform them, but it was usually too late. It
became an initiation.
Another time my friend had taken a nap while she
was supposed to be watching Shane. The phone
rang and she was surprisedly informed that Shane,
around age 34 at this point, was completely naked
outside with a basketball, asking the elderly neigh-
bors walking their dog if they wanted to play bas-
ketball with him! It wasn’t funny at the time but
years later it was a story that the family and neigh-
bors would remember with laughter.
Shane’s life, like all of ours, includes some suffer-
ing. Despite his suffering, Shane is the glue of that
family and a gift to all who know him. His life is not
defined by its hardships, and neither should ours.
You see, we have a God that takes crucifixions and
make resurrections out of them. Suffering and evil
exist but they will never overshadow the glory that
God can bring from them. That is what we cele-
brate today: God’s creativity. God took the torture
and murder of an innocent Man and brought eter-
nal salvation for all people from it. Let us give God
our woundedness, and let Him transform it into
something glorious. We are an Easter People, and
Alleluia is our song!
