THE CONCEPT

• Although child safety products are a huge money making business in the United States the educational aspect of child safety is often left up to parent or teachers - who may not always know best.

• Often safety information sites are cluttered and full of static information (which is boring enough for adults and won’t even capture the attention of kids).

• Safe Kids, in keeping with their position as the authority on unintentional childhood injury statistics and prevention, has the opportunity to grow their influence by creating an educational and interactive space for children, parents and teachers to come together and learn about preventing childhood injury.

THE TARGET

• The Safe Kids Safety Training School is targeted at children between the ages of 5 and 10 (as well as the parents and teachers of children in this age group)

• That will cover schools from kindergarten to 5th grade.

• Although home-schooling represents a relatively small group in this population the website allows for students and parents to join without affiliation with a school.

THE ORIGINAL AD

• Inspiration for the Safe Kids Safety Training School came from a 2 page print ad that was specifically targeting the parents of young children and concerned fire safety.

• To have the ad represent the Safety Training School changes would need to be mad to the copy and layout.
