12- 8mm Lock Washer 12- 8mm x 24mm OD x 2mm Flat Washer

4- 8mm Nylock Nuts 8- 8mm x 16mm x 1.6mm Flat Washers 2- Modular Rear Brackets

STEP 1- Locate the driver side step (The shorter bent side goes toward the front of the truck)

STEP 2- Remove any old steps and hardware from truck.

STEP 3- Start installation towards the front of the truck and put the driver side step in place by using (2) 8mm x 25mm Hex Bolt, (2) 8mm Lock Washer, (2) 8mm x 24mm OD Flat Washer, and insert it through the holes in the brackets and into the threaded holes in the body as shown in Figure 1. Hand tighten at this time only and do this for the second bracket as well.

STEP 4- Place the modular rear bracket in front of one of the two welded tabs on the rear of the tube and verify that it lines up with the holes located in the body (NOTE: Use the front welded tab on the tube for Double Cab models and the rear welded tab for Crew Max models) Figure 2.

STEP 5- Place (2) 8mm x 25mm Hex Bolt and (2) 8mm x 16mm OD Flat Washer and insert it through the holes in the bracket and into the welded tabs and secure them by placing another (2) 8mm x 16mm Flat Washer and (2) 8mm Nylock Nut as shown in Figure 2, repeat STEP 3 for the top of the bracket. Hand tighten at this time only.

STEP 6- Once the step is installed and the bolts are hand tight, verify the fitment and alignment. Once everything is verified, torque the bolts down to 20lbs per square foot. Repeat steps for the passenger side.
