This special East meets West series kicks off at The Galen Center @ USC, followed by Centre in Vancouver, and finally at San Francisco’s Bill Graham Civic Auditorium. Featuring international vocalist – Mr. Emil Chau ‘ Wakin ’, along with special guests - for Vancouver and San Francisco.

Artist Bios

Born in Hong Kong - Emil Chau Wakin is one of the best-loved entertainers in Asia and internationally for more than a decade. Emil's career in music has soared ever since. From 1987, he has released as many as 30 records in Mandarin, Cantonese and English. His platinum albums such as You Make Me Happy and Sad, The Flowery Heart, Music Brings Us Together, and Emil & Friends have brought him numerous awards from Taiwan, Hong Kong and Singapore.

Alongside his singing career, Wakin has appeared in a number of films –Rumble in the Bronx with Jackie Chan and has hosted numerous TV and radio shows in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Singapore. Besides being a successful entrepreneur, he is also very active in international charitable causes, such as kidney disease charities in Singapore, the December 2000 all-star concert in Las Vegas, and the January 2002 "Take a Deep Breath" concert in Taipei to raise money for local health-care organizations.

With his friendly disposition, and passion for music, Emil Chau Wakinremains one of the most admired artists in the entertainment industry.

Artist Bio – Patti Austin

She crosses all musical genres, has made 16 solo albums, and has performed her award-nominated hit songs on the Grammys and the Oscars. As a performer, songwriter and vocalist she has had a star-studded career that began at the age of four, making her one of the most beloved artists literally the world over. Austin, the daughter of a jazz trombonist and goddaughter of musical legends Quincy Jones and Dinah Washington, made her stage debut with Washington at the world-famous Apollo Theater in Harlem. Patti celebrates the title of one of her biggest hits, “How Do You Keep The Music Playing?” by signing an exclusive recording and media project development deal with Rendezvous Entertainment. Her first offering with Rendezvous was the early 2007 release of Avant-Gershwin, a new and adventurous big band rendering of Gershwin songs. Again, for Avant-Gershwin, Patti worked her magic with the WDR Big Band. In recent years, Patti has performed extensively throughout the Far East, where she is immensely popular. In addition to her international endeavors, Patti has devoted a lot of time performing for AIDS-related organizations and has appeared in several benefit concerts in San Francisco and Los Angeles, titled as Papillon, with Asian superstar Frances Yip to educate the Asian Pacific Islander community about Hepatitis virus. Patti continues to create milestones in an incredible career; a further testament to her status as a member of that rare breed: a true artist whose creativity knows no limits..

USC- GALEN CENTER – NOV 9TH 2007

The center puts the Trojan teams on an appropriately impressive stage,allowingthe Trojans to strut their stuff in a 255,000 square-foot arena with 10,258 seats, and utilize new locker rooms for home and visitors, as well as a state-of-the-art weight room and medical training room.

An attached 45,000 square-foot pavilion contains additional practice room with three sections with enough space for 4 full basketball courts or 9 volleyball courts as well as seating for 1,000 - along with space for coaches and administrative offices.

Galen also has function rooms, a ticket office, concession stands and merchandise stores for visitors to the new complex and will house the Athletic Department Hall of Fame. Built with the entire community in mind, the Galen Center will open its doors to youth and high school sporting events when the Trojans aren't on center court. Still, athletics won't be the only events to touch down at the Galen Center, however. The venue also will play host to concerts, commencement ceremonies, community events, lectures, meetings, shows, pageants and more.

THE CENTRE IN VANCOUVER – NOV 13TH & 14th 2007

The Centre in Vancouver for Performing Arts is regarded as the premiere entertainment facility in the city. Internationally acclaimed architect, Moshe Safdie, created The Centre with the same contemporary vision used in it's companion building Library Square. These state-of-the-art structures compliment Vancouver in both style and beauty. Together with the nearby Queen Elizabeth Theatre, the Vancouver Public Library, BC Place Stadium and GM Place to the east, The Centre is a vital part of Vancouver's cultural and entertainment district.

The Centre is flawlessly constructed and crafted with the highest quality technology, staging, acoustics, seating, fixtures and furnishings available. With white marble floors reflected endlessly by the faceted mirrored walls to the massive arched ceiling, The Centre is a sight to behold. Visitors will feel a sense of expansive time and space.

Built in 1995, The Centre was originally named the Ford Centre for Performing Arts. During its tenure as Vancouver's premier performing arts facility, leading Broadway productions were showcased. Among others, patrons enjoyed Showboat, Sunset Boulevard, Phantom of the Opera, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Riverdance, and Ragtime.

The Auditorium offers 1,821-1,858 lush purple velvet seats with uncompromising sightlines and impeccable acoustics. Audiences will find themselves enveloped in a modern but ageless facility.

SAN FRANCISCO’S BILL GRAHAM CIVIC AUDITORIUM – NOV 17TH 2007

Bill Graham Civic Auditorium's - the original Beaux Arts style façade constructed of native California granite for its debut at the Panama Pacific Exposition in 1915.

The historic Civic Auditorium is one of the most visible and well-recognized buildings in The City. Today, flags fly atop it's four story frontage and the spirits of yesteryear gaze out onto the plaza from behind the building's three enormous windows, each measuring one and a half stories tall.

Bronze medallions featuring busts of Bay Area artists contributing an original sound to American music line the pavement just outside. Among them are rock concert promoter Bill Graham, blues icons Janis Joplin and John Lee Hooker, and rock n' roll legends Carlos Santana, Jerry Garcia, Jefferson Airplane, Journey, and Metallica.

Papillon VI not only brings to our audience the two sensational performers, patrons for VIP section will also enjoy an exclusive VIP cocktail reception before performance presented by elite chefs and their restaurants of the bay area

Following the sensational performance - guest will continue the evening enjoying yet another champagne and dessert tasting at our north hall VIP room. Our VIP will also have an opportunity to meet and greet our mega star.
