We have seen our finances increase steadily over the past few months, and our pastor has been gracious enough to allow us to park our RV at the church, which drastically reduces our expenses. We thank each of you for your faithfulness and consistent sacrifice. It is such an encouragement to see things headed in the right direction in this uncertain economy. It gives us an even greater anticipation of accomplishing great things in Central America! When we don’t have a scheduled meeting, we usually find a church we’ve never been to and go introduce ourselves (in hopes that they’ll ask us to come back and present the ministry!). This past week we had the pleasure of dropping by Granbury Baptist Church in Granbury, Texas. They took us in as their own and made us feel very welcome. It just so happened that their pastor was on a mission trip to Guatemala on the very day we visited! One of the men in the church kept saying, “This can’t be coincidence!” Needless to say, we were very jealous and wished we were there too! One of the advantages of being based at our home church is that we have the opportunity to take part in the activities going on here at Joshua Baptist. Last week I was helping my dad load a bus bound for Central America with donations for a church when my pastor called me. Someone brought to his attention there was a Spanish speaking only couple that needed to be visited. So naturally, he recruited Brother Jorge Franco, the Spanish pastor, and myself for the job. As it turns out, the husband only spoke Spanish, and the wife only spoke English! Although in different languages, the Holy Spirit worked in their hearts, and they both accepted Christ! Lauren and I are so thankful for all the blessings in our lives. We’re so thankful that God choose to work through us to reach others. We’re so thankful for faithful individuals and churches like you that make it all possible. Your Missionaries, Rhyan and Lauren Ashcraft
