New concept of reading area

The project is about how nature element affects people's activities space and how nature can be used in interior architecture. I have created a reading area for peolple where nature is used as a healing aid and as part of the design.

As we know the city strength is often achieved at the expense of a destruction of meaningful buildings.So at first ,I have done some investigation and research turns out that the bookstore is one of representative disappeared building.Then i want to development a new style of reading area without location limited.In the end ,base on the honey bomb structure the reading area can place in bus station, shoppingmall , park.etc

This project is about how the environment, especially nature, affects mental well-being. I have been working on combining nature and interior architecture and blurring the lines between the inside and outside. The focus is on the urban residents as a unit and how these people can be helped to connect, heal and thinking back on happiness time.

Considering the people wi l l ing to spend in bookstore who loves reading and social acyiv i t ies .They are the ones who just enjoy reading, jus t l ike at tend social activities,just made some friends,just want to have a rest.They are social people, they love to s tay in a place surrounding with happiness atmosphere.

Significant OthersThe theme for the readingarea is Flexible.The targetdemographics are from age2 to 60 people who is lookingforward leisure time.They love to spend t ime wi th thei r significant other in a slow paste,and they cherish everysingle moment they spend with their companions.

Form Studies

The forms are inspired bythe common element of life.My design of the area is thatthe place must have both maximum activity space and flexible.I starttes with folding paper,then i played with hexagon space ,and overlooking of the model found out is profect shapewhich fit mine imagine.

The chair uses the plastic and wood as material .Because wood can give people the sense of amiable and also represent strong quailty.

In chinese word "Alone" have a lot of composition like the rootwhich i mean is that different combin like the meaning of Lonely ,Independent ,solo.Anyway this is the state of nowadays people always living their small circle with any communication.Fighting alone.

So base on these situation i am thinking of build a house to reflection this pathological.Like an empty room without no one in it also in the meantime sky is white with a blanket of snow on the ground.It can give us a sense of despair.Through the house i want to tell peolple it's very cool to be lone wolf but atthe end we always want to have an accompany.

The house i was set up as a personal office space.People stay in this room can image every frustratedmoment and recall the stuggle emotion.I want to show the ALONE meaning about you can clam downand left troubles behind.

In the age of technology,people stil have therequirement ,because we know it can bringconvenience to our lives.Stay in the ALONE space can offer a Zen's world and have the connectionwith nature.

Patient fracture as the most common illness which can be resulted in distress, injuries that can cause pain and suffering.Base on these,this peoject is aimed to be helpful to reduce the number of being not treated properly injures.

So the product must provide an easy solution by patients' beds side and help them to support without worries.Meanwhile ,it can also help people when they at home during recovery time.

Some existing waysMost Fracture patients have no professional knowledge ,so they probably choose to go to the hospital accpect treatment.However,the department of orthopedics' hospital beds resource are very tight,so they have much chance to transferred to a general ward which without professional bed equipment.

This is my f i rs t t ime to process of metal,and order to know better of these machine i practiced in a factory .

First to lay a good foundation in the bed and then Tightening.

Second adjustable angle and tightening again the key of multisection mechanical arms.

Withing the help of HOLD YOUR LEG ,peopel'slife with more convenience and more effective also save space effectively.

while brain storoming,the founding idea emerged from a cute cuttlefish.This marine biology and the succeeding ideas defined my comcept.

Having sketched out a shape I was happy with,then I decided to use3D Printers as the mockup order to let the users get an approximateimpression of the product.
