Project Management plan is input for all processes that produce a subsidiary plan as output, eg. Scope Management Plan

Documents specifically named when created as a primary output, eg. Scope Management Plan; captured as part of Project Documents Updates subsequently

Precedence rules established for input and output lists plans, subsidiary plans, baselines, data/reports, updates, enterprise environmental factors, organizational process assets

For consistency and clarity, the monitor and controlling processes were named using the form Control {XXX}, since controlling includes monitoring eg. Monitor and Control Risks changed to Control Risks

Chapter 3 was downsized to introduce the project management processes and Process Groups but not list each individual process; most of this content was moved to an Appendix as the ANSI standard

Work Performance Information - The performance data collected from various controlling processes, analyzed in context and integrated based on relationships across areas ex. status of deliverables and forecasted estimates to complete.

Work Performance Reports - The physical or electronic representation of work performance information compiled in project documents, intended to generate decisions, actions, or awareness ex. status reports and updates
