Bill Bryson writes these hilarious travel books. “Neither Here Nor There: Travels in Europe” is the funniest travel book ever. What’s your favorite movie? “Titanic” is one of my favorite movies. The “Harry Potter” movies are really good. Oh, and “Indiana Jones.” I love “Indiana Jones” so much. That’s pretty up there in my top five. What’s the best vacation you’ve ever been on? Last summer, I went to France by myself and lived there. It was the best four weeks ever. What would be your ideal vacation? Going back to France or somewhere in the Caribbean. FACES continued from page 15 HORRORS continued from page 15 Of course, there is one glaring difference between the stage and the screen: the endings. “This is not the movie version,” said Jim Berger of Eagan, the musical’s assistant director. “It’s much darker … This isn’t your happy ending.” Dark as it may be, the show includes plenty of upbeat songs from a range of genres, including rock, doo-wop and traditional-style showtunes. Director Ana Hellzen, of Lakeville, said the production is PG-rated and safe for families. “It’s PG and that’s due to the nature of some of the subject matter,” she said. “Things that were acceptable in the 1950s are just not things that we would consider politically correct now … It’s not anything worse than anything [kids] are seeing on TV or in any horror movie.” “Little Shop of Horrors” is Hellzen’s first production for Prior Lake Players, though she’s directed shows in Texas and Iowa and began performing at age 4. “Directing became the next step after you’re too old to play any of the roles you want,” she said. She approached the Prior Lake Players’ board with the idea to do “Little Shop of Horrors” because they’d never done it before and because she wanted to do something “totally new.” “It’s one of those shows that I never got to do as an actor, and I said, ‘Well, if I can’t do it then I want to direct it,’” Hellzen said.
