SPECIAL EVENTS
Easter Egg Candy Hunt — Participants 12 and under will hunt for special eggs and candy at the Chanhassen Recreation Center and receive a door prize ticket to win some of several great prizes. The event will be at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 23, at City Center Park. The cost is $5 per participant
YOUTH PROGRAMS
Chanhassen Rec Center Sports: Teen Time — Thurs-days in April we invite 7th – 12th graders have exclusive use of the Chanhassen Rec Center Gym. We offer a safe and fun environ-ment for teens to hang out after
school. Play or watch a game of basketball, wiffelball floor hockey, soccer, or dodgeball, etc, listen to music, or just chill with friends after a long day of school. $1 per teen with a student ID
Rec Center Sports After School Wilderness Wonders — Kids will be guided through supervised outdoor wilderness adventures to learn about ani-mals, the weather, earth and much more. Participants will go on scavenger hunts, geocaching expedition and learn about the world around you. The program, designed for children ages 7 - 11, will be on Tuesdays, April 19 – May 10 from 4-5.m at the Chan-hassen Recreation Center. $21 Residents/$25 Non-Residents.
Rec. Center Sports After School Flag Football — This program will concentrate on fundamentals and basic foot-
ball skills. We will have drills and game time incorporated as appropriate. The program, designed for children ages 7 - 11, will be on Wednesdays, April 20 – May 18 from 4-5 p.m at the Chanhassen Recreation Center. $39 Residents/$43 Non-Residents.
Rec. Center Sports Ten-nis — Participants will learn the basics of tennis through 1-2-3 fundamentals in a fun and exciting environment. All equip-ment will be provided. The class, designed for children 4 – 7 and 8 to 12, will be on Saturdays April 30 – May 21 at The Chanhassen Recreation Center. $32 Resi-dents/$36 Non-Residents.
Small Fry Sports Football — This exciting program is designed to provide 3 & 4 year olds with the opportunity to de-velop large motor skills through
games & activities related to their favorite sport. Each ses-sion will focus on football with participants learning skills, football fundamentals and sportsmanship. The program, designed for children ages 3 to 4, will be on Tuesdays, May 3 - 17 from 10:00-10:45 a.m. at the Chanhassen Rec Center. $24 Residents/$29 Non-Residents.
Preschool T-ball — Pre-school T-ball introduces your preschooler to the fundamentals of baseball. Each session has a warm-up, practice time, and a game. Bats, balls, helmets, and tees are provided, please bring your own glove. The class, is designed for children ages 4-6, will be held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from May 24 to June 29 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at the Chanhassen Recreation Center. $45 Residents/$53 Non-Residents.
