from the EditorFall is in the air! Already the pumpkin lattes are in the Java Café, winter coats are in

the Marine Corps Exchange, and pumpkin ales are in The Vineyard Wine & Spirits. We invite you to come to the Henderson Hall MCX and see the fabulous selection of goods we offer, now with new lines and lower price points. In the MCX, we now carry Kut from the Kloth, NYDJ, and Nic+Zoe...trendier lines with great price points! And we have an awesome selection of The North Face, just in time for cooler weather.

This month we are recognizing Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The Depart-ment of Defense takes this topic seriously, and we want to do our part. There are no good reasons for being in the dark about this serious topic and what to do if you or someone you know if a victim of domestic violence. Read the facts, know the reporting options, and be prepared to take a stand to support your colleagues, your friends, your family members, and — yes— even strangers. Find out more on our comprehensive website at www.mccsHH.com/DVAM.

We have events in October that you will want to place on your calendar. The Fall Education & Career Fair is one of the most anticipated events of the year, as we bring together employers and recruiters from higher education to meet those interested in a career move or attending school. We also have two races: the Semper Fi-ve K Fun Run supports our partners on the joint base, Navy Mutual Aid Association. The Remem-brance 5K Race is a Semper Fit event for which we invite you to send us a photo of the person in whose honor you are racing. We will place them on our Memory Banner to be displayed on race day.
