The YWCA of Trenton is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promot-ing peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all.

A B O U T T H E Y W C A O F T R E N T O N

Since its inceptionover one hundred

years ago in 1904 the

YWCA of Trenton has

been living its mission

of eliminating racism

and empowering

women in New

Jersey’s Capital City.

Today, the YWCA continues that same

tradition through its many youth services

including day care and preschool programs,

summer camp, and after school programs.

Our residence, Dunham Hall, houses 90

formerly homeless women, many who are

victims of domestic violence.

We empower women through our job search

and placement center, the Latinas Unidas

program, and our English as a Second

Language Classes.

We raise awareness about racism through our Stand Against Racism

initiative, which has now reached a national level and has attracted well

over one quarter million participants in an effort to end racism in our

communities: www.StandAgainstRacism.org.

On March 29, 2012, the YWCA of Trenton will induct the

2012 Class of the New Jersey Women’s Hall of Fame
