As a first year Head Golf Professional, all aspects arenew and challenging. I am lucky to have learned under

some of the best, and I feel prepared to meet thosechallenges head on. Owning my own business, bud-geting and administrative aspects of a new businessand preparing my assistants for advancement in their

I have been very fortunate to work for some of the bestprofessionals in the business starting with Dan Paster-nak, Lou Katsos, Brent Studer, and Brian Gaffney. Otherprofessionals that have influenced my career includeVince Giunco, Adam Machala, Sean Toohey, Dan McCa-rthy, David Reasoner, Scott Paris, and Jason Lamp, toname a few.

Bedens Brook Member Completes Bucket List

It is difficult to define a perfect off-season, but Bill Hogan, a member of The Bedens Brook Club in Skillman, came veryclose. His memorable winter began on November 5, when he holed out for eagle on the par 4, 15th hole with a 3 wood. From here, Bill began crossing more items off his bucket list.

Something you can find on almost any golfers’ bucket list is to shoot his age, which for Bill, is currently 75. As he normally shoots in the low 80’s, Bill felt thatthis was quite possible, provided he stayed healthy. Then on December 3rd, theunimaginable happened; Bill not only shot his age, but he beat it by two with a73! He made two birdies and seven pars on the front nine for a 34. However, things changed a bit on the back nine when he recorded four bogies. Withoutletting the pressure get to him, he birdied 17 and pared 18 for a 39 on the backnine. With his 73, Bill became the first person in the 50 year history of BedensBrook to shoot his age.

Another loftier item on Bill’s bucket list was to average 200 rounds a year for tenconsecutive years. Following a record 231 rounds in 2012, he needed 225rounds in 2013 to complete his goal. He did not pay much attention until theend of October when he needed only 32 more rounds. It was certainly possible, but he knew the weather would play a huge factor. Bill was able to play eigh-teen rounds in November, and finally, after the snow melted, he recorded num-ber 225 on December 28th. He added one more round for good measure for atotal of 2001 rounds from 2004 – 2013. What makes this even more remarkableis that all but 44 of the 2001 rounds were played here in the North!

Believe it or not, Bill still works! He’s had his own management consulting prac-tice specializing in sales for more than 30 years. Congratulations Bill for thiswonderful achievement!
