I have been fortunate enough to have worked for some of the finest GolfProfessionals in this section and three past Presidents of the NJPGA. I feel that Iam well prepared to meet any challenges work related due to the leadership of

my former superiors. With my wife and three children ages 5, 2, and 7 months oldat home, the challenge that I anticipate most is spending enough time with them.

-Volunteering would be one direction to go. There are different ways to volunteer and all are very useful tools. Get involvedwith volunteering as a rules official, be a mentor/coach for the golf in schools program with the NJGF or get involved with

being a golf instructor for section golf shows. Giving back a little certainly goes a long way.

-Playing golf well and getting your name out in as many tournaments as possible will add credibility to you and yourfacility. It is also a great way to get to know your fellow golf professionals and establish long lasting relationships. These

relationships can open up opportunities in the future.

-Use social media to build your brand. This day and age everyone has a cell phone glued to their hip. Why not use this ina positive way and alert your membership of daily club news. Create a Facebook page for your facility. Include pictures

with you playing with your members or upload results of major tournaments. Use twitter to alert the membership of sales. All useful ways to show case your talent and show that you are willing to go the “extra mile”.

-Assistant Match Play Champion 2006-Assistant – Assistant Team Match Play

Champion 2007-Qualified for the 2012 Assistants National

Championship, Port St. Lucie, Florida-Qualified for the 2013 Professional National

Championship, Sun River, Oregon

All of the Professionals I have worked for have influenced my career in someway or another. The one person who has continued to help not only as a formerboss but also as a friend is Bill King. Bill has always picked up the phone anytime I needed him to do so. Whether it was about a ruling, a situation with a

customer or how to change a diaper, he has been there. Just kidding about thediaper!! Bill is a great husband, father and mentor and I can only hope to repay

him by giving that same great advice to my assistants.

I began as a caddie at Manasquan River G.C. in 1989 and also worked as a bagroom attendant at Shore Oaks G.C. (Eagle Oaks) & Jumping Brook C.C. in theearly 90’s. This season will mark my 16th season as a Golf Professional in the NJ

Section. I have worked as a Head Golf Professional at Greenbriar Oceanaire G &CCand as an Assistant Golf Professional at Jumping Brook C.C., Spring Lake G.C.,

Beacon Hill C.C., Crestmont C.C., Maplewood C.C. and Morris County G.C.
