Card Of Thanks

AUXILIARY NEWSHello to all! I would like to take a minute to thank all of the members that support our club by coming in for dinners and good conversation. Thank you also to those that are supporting the auxiliary by purchasing our des-serts. We have done very well and have enough for scholarships now and are working on our five Girls State fees that come due in March. Thanks so much. We changed the time of our meetings to 7:00 PM, so don’t forget to come a half hour early! Any Auxiliary member that volunteers at the club is asked to sign in. Greg has a notebook that all volunteers will be using to keep track of hours. Any volunteer working at the club, no matter what your volun-teer job, will qualify to sign into the book. This will make reports so much easier. Remember that our hours are reported to Congress which makes our National Commander a real lobbying force for veterans with the Congress. Lent seems to be early this year and I’m sure we are looking forward to the Friday fish fries. Watch the calendar for what is coming up! Bunco will be changing to the 4th Tuesday of the month. The packing party will be the first Saturday at 5:30 PM. Come and support our soldiers that are putting their lives on the line for all of us! Patty Polson is the membership chairman for the Auxiliary and is do-ing an excellent job. We have reached our goal each time this year. From now on it is much harder to get those dues in as soon as you can. Your dues are why we can continue to work so many important pro-grams. If you haven’t sent in your $25.00 check, please put it in the mail today! Thank you for all that you do! Your patronage at the club, your volun-teering and even your dues helps with all of our programs.

The All Star Nebraska Tigers

Cheerleaders Squad is having a

Chili Feed fundraiser at the Post on

Saturday February 16 from Noon - 3:00.

The cost is $7.00 for two trips.

I hope you haven’t “lost that loving feeling” because Valentine’s Day is this month! Make sure you remember that special someone in your life!! The Riders are getting excited as we know spring is right around the corner and that means RIDING time! We continue to support the Post in a variety of ways even though we haven’t been riding now for a few months. Soon we will be conducting a “Blue Nose” run (weather and road condition dependent). This is in honor of a Navy tradition in which Sailors would brave the harsh and cold environment in the Arctic Circle to become part of a time-honored tradition. We plan on bundling up and facing the elements for a ride and have some fun back at the Post. The date is yet to be determined. Our Event Committee is planning some special events this riding season to include a Poker Run - be looking for flyers on our events. Thanks to all who help support us and help support our Post. Without the tireless contributions made by our volunteers - the Post could not exist, so thanks for all you do! - Jeff
