I am honored to serve the community as President/CEO of the Marysville Tulalip Chamber of Commerce. My goal since I started in this role in March 2015, has been to increase collaborative efforts. I truly believe the strongest communities are the ones that work together for the common good. That includes Non-pro� ts, Municipalities, Businesses and

Residents. No one person, organization or business should have to do it alone. We all are working hard towards success, long standing sustainability and strategic growth and prosperity. At the Chamber, you will � nd resources to achieve each of your business goals. We are here to help!

As I travel all over Snohomish County, I see that what Marysville Tulalip has to offer is unique. The large open � elds of lavender, the drawing enticement of the breezy bay, many outdoor activities are put on by the city or other organizations, most give us the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the PNW. There is also a long list of recreational businesses to visit, great shopping locations and a substantial amount of highly rated service providers. Anything you need to live, shop, play and stay in Marysville and Tulalip!

Our Visitors Information Center (VIC) is located in the front part of the Chamber of� ce. It is visited by an average of 450 people each month from all over the county, state and world! On top of it being a great place to meet new people, we are also able to serve the tourism portion of our community. We treat our visitors as guests. When giving the guests advice on where to go and what to see, we focus on the attractions that are nearby and that will give our guests an experience they will not forget!

The Greater Marysville Tulalip Chamber of Commerce’s Regional Visitor Information Center is dedicated to supporting and expanding our area’s tourism industry by promoting area businesses and attractions. Located just off of Exit 200 in Tulalip’s Quil Ceda Village, we serve area residents and businesses as well as a myriad of visitors from throughout the county, state, region, nation and the world.

We actively maintain hundreds of resources that assist us in responding to the over 6,500 individuals who walk through our doors each year, as well as in answering the thousands of phone calls, and e-mail requests we receive annually. Our VIC is staffed by a dedicated professional group of volunteers that we recruit and train. Our volunteer personnel are recognized annually by the White House with individual US Presidential Service Awards based on their annual hours of service. They know the area, as so many of our volunteers have lived in the area decades, if not their entire lives. They know where to shop, eat, stay overnight and where to play. Our Center is open Monday through Friday year round and features free Wi-Fi service that is advertised on I-5 with our Department of Transportation signage. Come visit us anytime, whether you need a map, directions or information on local events and attractions. Our Volunteers are waiting to serve you.

The Chamber started out in this tiny caboose for 10 years, then in 2002 moved to the current 2,000 sq ft. Chamber Of� ces & Regional Visitor Information Center.Organized in 1908, the Chamber made national history in 1996 when

Chamber leadership expanded its name from the Greater Marysville Chamber of Commerce to The Greater Marysville Tulalip Chamber of Commerce. While the Tulalip Tribes, a federally recognized sovereign Indian nation, was already one of its members, the Chamber wanted to formally recognize and support Tulalip’s growing role in the region’s economy, plus it wanted to demonstrate the strength that comes from working together in partnership. It is the � rst and only U.S. Chamber to partner with a sovereign nation, and this unique partnership, serving as an economic and social bridge between the two communities, has been made a national role model for ethnic diversity by the US Chamber of Commerce. A new logo was developed, representing that from land to sea the two business communities are working together for their combined community success.The Chamber serves as a pro-business advocate representing members on all governmental fronts. Recognized statewide and nationally as a leader in legislative affairs, the Chamber’s President / CEO and Board members collectively hold seats on some of the most in� uential Boards of Directors throughout the state. This allows it to expand its voice and lobbying efforts and keeps us all at the forefront of emerging issues that impact your ability to do business. In 2002, the Chamber moved into a strategically located 2,000-sq.-ft. facility at the entrance of Quil Ceda Village adjacent to I-5. At this time the Chamber expanded to include a Regional Visitor Center open during the week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., staffed by community volunteers. The Chamber’s Executive Conference Room is used by residents, businesses, civic leaders and community organizations from throughout Snohomish, King and Skagit counties. Our

“Business Card Wall” featuring Chamber members by service category is an invaluable tool for referring the thousands of visitors coming through our doors each month to � nd just what they need.The Regional Visitor Information Center (VIC) has many resources for information that aid individuals looking for answers. The VIC has developed resource databases covering hundreds of topics such as: halls to rent, RV and camping sites, schools, restaurants, shopping, where to play, local events, family activities, wireless Internet hotspots, clubs and organizations and much more.
