The Deep Sea business unit is responsible for the HOYER Group’s overseas activities and transports liquid chemical

products, foodstuffs and gases around the world. Deep Sea knows no boundaries. The business unit is as active for its

customers in remote areas as it is in large, pulsating capitals of commerce. Deep Sea is present in Singapore, São Paulo,

Dubai, Houston, Shanghai and Rotterdam, from where it coordinates its global transport operations. Every location

is handled with optimally selected transport containers such as tank containers, flexitanks and IBCs. The customers’

fields of business and logistical requirements are advancing continuously. Thanks to its international network and state-

of-the-art equipment, Deep Sea always provides the ideal solution and can respond flexibly and quickly to all of the

customers’ wishes.

Technically up to dateThe Deep Sea fleet consists of over 20,000 tank containers. All of the tanks are optimally insulated and have the option

of steam heating. In addition, customers can choose between different sets of special equipment. These include,

amongst others, tank containers for temperature-controlled transport operations and tank containers with baffles or

various types of linings. Deep Sea also offers numerous IBC types and has flexitanks that it manufactures itself. At the

request of the respective customer, the transport equipment can be equipped with GPS tracking devices.

Every product has its own unique attributes. The chosen transport solution must be just as individual, with the right

equipment playing a decisive role in this process. The Deep Sea business unit has access to its own database containing

tens of thousands of products, on the basis of which it always structures a suitable logistical concept for the respective

goods. With its supply chain solutions (SCS), moreover, Deep Sea offers extensive value-added services for the chemical

industry. The SCS service portfolio covers on-site logistics, the filling and blending of liquid chemical products, the

operation of intermodal and dangerous goods terminals as well as dry-bulk logistics. All services are offered in their

entirety and are bundled so that synergies are generated for all customers.

IBCs are the ideal alternative to drums and road tankers

when transporting liquid products and have a capacity

of 500 to 1,000 litres.
