No Children’s Worship today!

Church Office Closed - Monday, September 7th.

Wednesday Night Fellowship Meal Kickoff - September 9th from 5:30 - 6:30 PM (Arrival anytime between 5:30 and 6:30 pm). The monthly Wednesday Night Fellowship Meal will begin on Wednesday, September 9th, so make plans to attend. Please invite family, friends and other church members as this is a good opportunity to not only have a good meal at a bargain cost, but have time to fellowship and get to know one another. We have a good time, so come out and enjoy this event each month. The Menu for this month will be: Lasagna, Salad Bar, Hot Bread, Homemade Desserts and Beverages. (Cheese Pizza always available). The service line is open from 5:30-6:30 PM. Reservations/cancellations must be made by noon on Tuesday, September 8th. Call the church office to make reservations at 919-266-2471 or by completing the “Wednesday Night Fellowship Meal” section on the back of the Welcome card, located in the back of your pew, and drop it in the offering plate. Please make sure to write your name on the card. Cost for the meal is: adults (10-up) $5.00, children (4-9) $2.00 and children 3 and under eat free (Max charge per family - $20.00).

Youth Camping Trip - Friday, September 11th. Grab your fishing pole and join us for the weekend. Please talk with Pastor Joe if you are interested.

Knightdale Community Day - Saturday, September 12th at Knightdale Station Park from 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Knightdale Baptist Church will have a booth that day - Now is a good time to showcase our services and programs. You can help by volunteering your time. If you would like to help or need more information, please see Robin Farrington.

Annual Volunteer Recognition Award Service - Sunday, September 13th with a Covered Dish Luncheon in the Family Life Center to follow. Bring your favorite dish or two to share.

Deacon’s Meeting - Monday, September 14th at 7:00 PM in the Conference Room.

Mission/Outreach Team Meeting - Tuesday, September 15th at 7:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall. We need to plan Fall events, so anyone with suggestions/ideas please attend. Everyone is welcome and we love to hear your ideas!

Finance Committee Meeting - Tuesday, September 15th at 7:00 PM in the Conference Room.

Weathers/Knight WMU Circle Meeting - Thursday, September 17th at 10:45 AM in the Conference Room.

Don’t forget your food pantry donations! Fill the Barrel Sunday is September 27th.

The Fall Senior Adult Rally is Tuesday, September 29th at Garner First Baptist Church. Featuring “The Hall Sisters,” and Willa Brigham. The menu is: Choice of BBQ Chicken or Fried Chicken, Slaw, Boiled Potatoes, Brunswick Stew, Hush Puppies and Corn Sticks, Dessert, and Tea. The cost is $12.00 - Sign up sheets are in your Sunday School classrooms. Please turn your money into the office by Monday, September 21st - make your check payable to the Raleigh Baptist Association.

Backpack Buddies - Currently there is an urgent need for canned vegetables (corn, beans, peas, carrots, potatoes, 15 oz or less) and macaroni & cheese (individual cups or boxed). The food collection bins are located on the floor downstairs in the Sanctuary Building across from the Fellowship Hall (kitchen side). Thank you again for supporting this local ministry.

“TUB OF LOVE” - Supporting the Operation Shoebox through October. For the next few months as you are shopping pick up an extra item and place in the “Tub of Love” containers throughout KBC.

TOYS: Include items that children will immediately embrace such as dolls, toy cars, stuffed animals, kazoos, harmonicas, yo-yos, jump ropes, balls, toys that light up and make noise (with extra batteries), etc. SCHOOL SUPPLIES: pens, pencils and sharpeners, crayons, markers, notebooks, paper, solar calculators, coloring and picture books, etc. NON-LIQUID HYGIENE ITEMS: toothbrushes, bar soap, combs, washcloths, etc. ACCESSORIES: t-shirts, socks, hats, sunglasses, hair clips, jewelry, watches, flashlights (with extra batteries), etc.

DO NOT INCLUDE: Used or damaged items, war-related items such as toy guns, knives or military figures, chocolate or food, out-of-date candy, liquids or lotions, medications or vitamins, breakable items such as snow globes or glass containers, and aerosol cans.
