2014 is coming to an end, but our club is still going strong! We have been able to hold countless fun, exciting, and helpful events around the community, and once again we are the largest club in the school with over 240 members! That’s something to be proud of. This meeting shall be the last one before the New Year, but we hope to see you all at our first meeting when we come back.
Yours in Caring Service, Trevor Wood

5K Color Run
This year Livingston held its first very own color run, and Key Club was able to come and help out. Anyone attending had lots of fun whether they were throwing color at the runners or assisting in any other way. Here are some pictures from the event.
Inductions Every year, Livingston High School Key Club hosts an induction ceremony to induct all
new and returning members of our club. At this event, Key Clubbers are able learn more about what Key Club is and about what it means to be a Key Clubber. This year’s ceremony was held in the Auditorium on Thursday November 20th, and it was a major success. Thank you for all those who attended and congratulations on officially becoming a part of Key Club!
The ceremony included an overview of Key Club including information on how to get more involved. It also included speeches from our Lieutenant Governor of Division 19, Bobbie Boettinger, and speeches from Kiwanis members.

Community Food Bank On Saturday December 14th our Key Club visited the Community Food Bank in Hillside,
NJ. We assisted in organizing donations and helping in any way possible. The event was really successful in benefitting the food bank and a great example of how Key Club is helping our community!

On Black Friday we held our annual Black Friday Fundraiser. Key Clubbers stood outside various stores and restaurants around Livingston to help raise money for the both the Eliminate Project and Jeff Tamburri. Jeff Tamburri was a Livingston High School graduate who on June 12, 2013 was struck by a NJ Transit bus while on his way to work, leaving him with paralysis and astronomical medical bills.
I am happy to say that together we were able to raise over $600 for these charities! This amount is thanks to all the hard work but forth by our members who braved the cold and due to the generosity displayed by local businesses. Beacause of our effort, we have raised an amount that is sure to help both causes.

Eliminathon The Eliminathon is a series of volleyball tournaments, held at the divisional level, which will eventually advance to the district level. All proceeds from the tournament will go towards the Eliminate Project. Livingston hosted the tournament for Division 18 and 19 on Saturday December 13th. The winners were a team from West Essex High School, and we successfully raised over $500!

LACD Parties
Since the last newsletter there were two LACD Parties. The first, on October 18th, was a Halloween arty, and the second, on December 13th, was a holiday party. These events are always lots of fun for everyone who participates.
