watched all the new movies, seen all the cartoons, had their parents read all the books, but they still want

something new.

Task -> Our task is to come up with a visually entertaining short film that will capture the

Specification and limitation -> For children -> must be attractive

Unit Question -> How can we entertain lower school students using simple animation?

Documented Evidence

Your documented evidence is like a diary. You start it when you first start making your design and it doesn't end till you have finished making your product. Takes lots of photos, make notes on any

modification and add sketches and diagrams.

AOIThe AOI for this project is community and service. In this project, we have to be creative to make the film. The short film have to attract small kid in lower school. I have to go and interview one of kids to know their

expectation. My clients are the children in lower school. In this project, we have to finish a few stages like investigation, design, plan, create and the last one

evaluation.

Summary of interviewI only do a short interview and there is only two questions

because i just wanna know what kind of cartoon characters they like. Now, I know that the boys like cars and the girls like barbie.

However, I think i won’t use the cartoon characters to be the character in my animation. I’m just going to use the plain

characters.

Case-study summaryFrom the case-study, I realize that this clay animation is mostly for kids. The duration of

each animation is only about 2 minutes long. Both simple and colorful animation is

interesting to watch. However, I think that the colorful animation is better. All animation is

difficult to make.

SPECIFICATION

Title specification and why? Test

material I am going to use clay to make the characters and also iStopMotion to combine the film.

to test whether the material i have chosen is good for the design i chose.

timeI was given 5 weeks to make sure that my whole

animation is finished. I have 1 week for investigation, another week for design and plan, 2

weeks for create and the last week for evaluation.

To plan the time and make sure that it’s going to be done before the deadline.

sizeThe size of the characters in the film is going to be small but when it comes to the filming, the

picture is going to be large enough for everyone to have a clear view of it.

aesthetics The animation film have to be attractive, unique and also eye-catching.

The advertisement is going to be simple but still eye-catching.

target audience For this project, the target audience is going to be children from 2 years old to 10 years old

Summary of Investigation-This investigation stage, I got to interview clients, state what the AOI is going to be, case-study and many more. I have to know what is the situation here and what my task is so that i know what i’m supposed to do in the next stages.

- In this project, I got a little help from the client. I know what the clients wants to see in my product after interviewing them.

- I also did case-study. I learnt what kind of film will attract kids.

-The last part is the specification. The specification will help me evaluate the designs after i design 6 designs in the design stage.
