4 PROCESS Site Isolation
Abrasive sandblasting must conducted in a manner to reduce dust emissions, enclosure should be used whenever possible to ensure containment of dust.
Utilize polyethylene drop sheets to contain fallout and control the spread of dusts. In the case of potential fire source in the area, acceptable fire retardant polyethylene or acceptable equivalent material to contain and control the spread of dusts.
Clean-up of dust particulate and debris must be completed with a HEPA Vacuum.
A HEPA extraction unit (or HEPA vacuum) may be used to evacuate dust at the source of sandblasting.
Define a work area perimeter by use of danger tape, or barricades. The work area perimeter should be in the order of 2-3 metres from the actual point of disturbance.
Post warning signs at the perimeter of the work area, such as: CAUTION
