INTRODUCTION Oaklands Catholic School is a beautiful building, the former manor house residence of General Napier sitting in eighty acres of landscaped grounds. In 1946 it became a school run by the Sisters of the Convent of the Cross, amalgamating with Daley’s school in 1966 to become Oaklands Convent School. The school has a number of facilities which are available to be hired out for a wide range of activities including meetings, conferences, training days, social gatherings, Christmas and birthday parties (including children’s) and even weddings or dinner dances. Our experienced catering team can provide refreshments ranging from beverages to working lunches, business buffets both hot and cold along with a waitress service if required. We have a number of meeting and conference rooms which can accommodate meetings for 4 – 50 (dependent on choice of layout) and ICT suites and classrooms available for training sessions. Our Sports Hall, with its newly refurbished changing rooms is a great facility for Badminton, Netball, Basketball and Five-a-side Football. We also have Cricket nets available for hire. Our Gymnasium is a smaller area ideal for martial arts, keep fit, yoga, zumba and children’s activities. We are exceptionally lucky to have a theatre style main hall which can seat up to 500. It provides the perfect space for drama productions, concerts, weddings and parties. Technician support can be provided to assist with lighting and sound (subject to availability). A smaller more intimate drama room with lighting and sound facilities is available for smaller groups. Our extensive grounds and sunken lawn provide the perfect romantic setting for your wedding reception with plenty of photo opportunities and marquee hire available.
