Maths Activities – Week 10 Home Learning LI to solve problems using information presented in a line graph Interpreting Graphs– 2 sessions this week This week, the maths tasks have been split according to which maths set you are in. We would like you start with the activities that has your MATHS TEACHER’S NAME AND PHOTO at the top . These slides will be split into Session 1 and Session 2 for each set. If you are in Mrs Salvatori’s or Mrs White’s set you are very welcome to try the next set up to challenge yourself. If you are in Mrs Hadlow’s and Miss Powell’s set, there is a mixed speed challenge at the end of Session 2 to try. The answers will be on a separate document, so you can check as you go along, or mark your work at the end. You might need them to give you a helpful hint if you are stuck. Optional tasks: Goober’s Graphs and Extra Line Graph Practice

Find where it says 2 minutes on the x axis. Follow this line upwards until you meet the orange line. Then read across to the y axis. It should read 51 degrees.

Carefully read this line graph. Notice that Monday is in orange and Tuesday is a dotted red line. Notice that the x axis is labelled on the TOP not the BOTTOM, and the scale drops in temperature - just to try to confuse you! Each question will ask you about a specific day. On the 5th question you are starting to compare the 2 lines.
