Well here we are once again, at the end of yet another fantastic run. Hello Dolly! has

been a triumph for GCP, and for us personally as producers. We wish to thank our

phenomenal production team; this show would not have been possible without each

and every one of them. From the endless energy invested in assembling the delightful

costumes, to the tireless dedication of our set construction crew, to the talented

painting crew – there was never any doubt that Hello Dolly! would come together

brilliantly. We are so fortunate to have Wendy Leard as director and John

We are so fortunate to have Wendy Leard as

director and John Valleau as music director. With

our tremendously talented cast, Wendy and John

created something very special. We heard

nothing but rave reviews from those who saw it.

We couldn’t have asked for a better cast, a

better team and a better reception from all who

came to see. Thank you all! It’s been a

phenomenal ride! Bravo everyone!

April was a hectic month with the run of

Hello, Dolly! and the parties at The Kirk. I

think it is great that we can use our own

facilities for these functions.

As some of you may have noticed, the area

behind The Kirk has been cleaned up.

Thanks to Gary Hom, John Koerner and Mike

Cipryk for helping out. It took us four loads

to the burning pile to get rid of it all. Some

minor raking and root-pulling remains to be

finished, but it has already increased our

parking area.

We are in need of a trailer. As you know,

the last trailer I donated was stolen. If you

know of anyone with a used trailer they may

want to sell or donate (tax receipt

provided), please contact John or Mike. It

does not matter if it needs some work, but it

should have at least a 4’x8’ bed to facilitate

picking up material for our show builds.

Enjoy your May. The rumour is that the

weather is going to warm up.

President’s Report New Champions Crowned at

9th Annual Trivia Night

In what proved to be the closest contest yet,

a new team emerged as champions at our

9th Annual GCP Trivia Night.

Team Jazz Hands took the crown from

defending champs Les Quizerables by a

margin of only 1 point!

Dale Mellway for designing and running an

incredibly enjoyable game, Jamie Mellway

for score updates, Mike Cipryk for tending

bar, Jane Wood and Sharon VanVolkenburg

for score-keeping, Tigger Gonschior for the

tech, and the Social Committee for

organizing the evening and keeping

everyone happily fed.
