En muchas ocasiones lo reemplazamossin revisar el estado del sistema de carga
del auto, y el problema regresadespués de poco tiempo.

Sin embargo, con una prueba simple se puedesaber si el sistema de carga trabaja
correctamente.

Para esta prueba sólo vamos a necesitarun VOLTÍMETRO O MULTÍMETRO.

Todas las lecturas de voltaje que se toman
durante la prueba se hacen con el
voltímetro o multimetro conectadoen paralelo a la batería.

La LECTURA DEL VOLTAJE BASE es unamedida del voltaje de la batería.
Se toma con el motor apagado y todaslas cargas eléctricas desconectadas(luces apagadas, clima,radio, etc).

MENOR A 12.5 VOLTSes necesario recargar la bateríapara continuar con la prueba.

la caída del voltaje NO DEBEser por debajode 9.50 volts.

Si la caída del voltaje es menor a 9.50 volts,la batería puede haber llegado al final de su
vida útil y debe revisarse en un centrode servicio .

con una carga pesada en el sistema(luces, clima y radio encendidos).

Si la lecturas de VOLTAJE SIN CARGA y VOLTAJE CONCARGA son diferentes a estos rangos, tenemos queinspeccionar el estado de los componentes
del sistema de carga; como por ejemplo, alternador, regulador de voltaje,bandas, poleas,conexiones, etc.

Un voltaje demasiado alto o demasiado bajo, puede llegar a dañar algunos
componentes del auto, entre ellosel acumulador.
